can't understand the downvotes.. it is not always about being super professional show off stage dancing scoring 10/10.. some peeps might forget that dancing is about enjoying dancing and having fun dancing with each others.. for this I'd rate you full chicos..
The craziest think I found about salsa in Colombia and especially Cali was how it is treated as a sport. There was this guy who rocked up to the club looking like he was on the way to the gym. Proceeded to crush it and every girl was lining up to dance with him, but he didnt dance with the hottest girls lining up for him, just the best dancers. Then this babe from our group who was a 10 asked him to dance as he was leaving and he was like nah Im finished. He was really just there to dance, so cool from a guy to be like that.
The background is AMAZING. I personally loved it so much because it just added to the whole vibe of the dance so nicely. For some reason, it gives the dance a warmer feel.
Frankie Ruiz, Celia Cruz, Marc Anthony, Oscar de León, and so many other awesome salsa singers with real salsa for you to dance to a damn remix of an Ed Sheeran song? We're OK with you people culturally appropriating salsa, just fucking dance it to actual salsa!
La respuesta es simple...no la tienen....solo sigen los pasos ensayados de memoria..la ventaja del gringo de poder viajar y hacernos creer q ellos tanmbien lo pueden hacer...
Damn, this was quite the tonic to watch. It has so many of the finest things in life crammed into it - beauty, nature, harmony, elegance, tradition, rhythm, calm, happiness.... It gets right to ones soul. Try watching this while listening to the track 'At Last' by Plaid. They go very well together.
Wait a second, two young Salsa dancers having a spontaneous dance with a camera spontaneously mounted for smooth pans? Because that's not hand held. Apart from that: the dancing is good, but I can hardly focus on it because I keep wincing at the hyperlordosis of the woman. Very sexy shoes, but: ouch.
I'm glad I saw this video, because I saw exactly what I've been trying to avoid when dancing as a leader. I'm going to speak strictly technical, not trying to bash the dancer. 1) his arms are in a style that I am not a fan of. Instead of looking like extentions of his body movements, they are going back and forth, it looks like he is running ( which I believe he is trying to do the mambo style in the 80s). Please look at cuban dancers for reference if you are interested in what I like. 2) I don't like the way he steps. His pressure point is more towards the center of his feet ( or you can say heels) instead of being on the ball of his feet, which in my opinion makes his steps look heavy. This would mean that in a fast song, he wouldn't be able to keep up because he wouldn't be able to shift his weight fast enough. Please look at Frankie Martinez performances ( not social dancing) for reference. 3) he doesn't lift his legs when he is taking steps. This again makes his steps look heavy, and the fast song comment above applies here as well. Colombians have the fastest feet, so I suggest checking out their salsa dancing. 4) He keeps his knees inwards and his feet outwards, in a way like a triangle with a top from his knees to the bottom of his feet. I personally prefer if the foot was placed under the knee, at least in the x-axis when looking at the dancer from the front. Eddie Torres , Eddie Torres Jr., Johnny Vazquez, all professional dancers work to back up this point. 5) I find that under the name of styling or to cover a technical error made , when the steps aren't fully taken in basic moves such as a cross body, it is either a bad habit or the dancer is lazy and they make the move look weaker than it is. Again most of the performers don't do this when they are performing( not social dancing), so the names mentioned above apply. 6) His spinning technique. I have personally experimented with this a little bit, and I find that spinning on the ball of the foot, weight shifted to the spinning foot, keeping the other foot next to the spinning foot a little bit off the ground, keeping the knees touching eachother, back straight, head looking up and centered( not tilted), and arms positioned symmetrically from the sternum point to be the best technique to keep the balance and avoid tilting to one side while spinning. The idea is to divide your body into two vertically and have everything as symmetrical as possible to avoid loss of balance. I didn't see him doing that, and as a result he lost his balance and had to shift his weight on his spinning foot towards his heel to avoid falling and he missed the next step ( the step on the first beat on the next 8 rhythm) to recover. You can look at any professional for this as well. 7) Musicality. Even though I am more of a fan of 70s and 80s salsa songs due to the obvious difference between the salsa of that era and the salsa of today in aspects such as complexity of notes played and the harmony between instruments, this song has had considerable characteristics that include unique accents which can be emphasized by the leader and the follower in their dance. Due to the leading style, the couple instead did moves rather than bring out the uniqueness of the song. I prefer to dance according to the song rather than do certain combinations and ignoring the accents. Please look at any social dancing video of a man named Terry ( he's got an afro in the videos). 8) His posture when dancing. Instead of keeping a straight back, head up, he was slouching over. I need to work on this as well personally. These are aspects I find that I need to be careful about that I saw him do. It is easy to get into bad habits when dancing, and avoiding them becomes hard after a while.
I had issues with his dancing, and I felt like it hindered her dancing. His timing was off, which affected her steps. She had an opportunity to do a high kick, but didn't get as high as she could have (I felt) because she was trying to keep time to the music. Oddly, I felt like he was afraid to touch her.
Very well articulated and explained. It is very nice to see a constructive criticism with a dose of humility -as I'm sure that all of us can get better as dancers - with all the points you mentioned. you also got me to think and get more aware of the way I do my steps in my social dance. thanks for sharing your thoughts!
As a former professional dancer (educated dancing teacher and dance sport trainer)I just can support your words togh. She is really good with a much more natural movement. His movement is completely not worked out very well. He needs some styling lessons. And lots of technic lessons. His leading looks a way confused sometimes and it looks like she has to compeses it the whole time. One more plus for her that she´s able to compens it!
I think she likes how he dances that's enough. It's not like they are in SYTYCD and you are giving them a score nor are you dancing with him. Its not like you are making money with correcting them either. Maybe it would have been more convincing if you upload a video of yourself dancing with someone who appreciate your skills
Very nice and elegant dancing!! At times I think she can do less hand movements, but that is just me :) She has an amazing body and both make a beautiful dance couple :)
I'm completely into woman but I am so amazed by salsa and how this works for some reason that I was actually watching the guy and imagine how that would be like. Didn't even look at that hot girl. I guess this was a good test to see if I am actually interested in this. Too bad we don't have something like this nearby and I don't have money to take courses..Maybe one day in the future.
I started going to salsa and bachata classes around time when you posted this, I must say it's been phenomenal experience and I expect a lot more to discover about dance world. So if you re thinking if you should join classes, believe me just do it. Love from Serbia
If you look closely, there is actually a guy dancing with her
I watched ten times and I still don't see him.
😂😂😂
What a shame. You're missing out, he's just as good.
HELP IS THIS A JOKE-
Lol

Wow amezening dance
True but this girl seems too stiff almost as if she was too worried about looking good that she isn’t feeling the music
Танець капец.
Could’ve used real salsa music
Finally...somebody who wrote what I was thinking : )
I really dislike this westernised stuff. Good on them for doing this activity. I wouldn’t call it “salsa” but I love the sunset.

They have such great chemistry - so smooth and fluid.
Good dancing, but this isn't what I would consider a true salsa song
Love! I aspire to dance like her one day!
The background is AMAZING. I personally loved it so much because it just added to the whole vibe of the dance so nicely. For some reason, it gives the dance a warmer feel.
Oh, true!
Omggg i need to learn this with my husband goals!!!!!
Did you do it?
Very beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I was once young. Enjoy your youth! I did!
BEAUTIFUL! Salsa is so sexy and they got that on Lock

Is this salsa on 1 or on 2 🤔 ?
I came here to learn how to dress up my moves a bit, but for some reason I haven't been able to focus on the man's dancing...
This terrace was made JUST for this dance, for this scene, just for THIS one moment 🎯🎯🎯💐🔮😀
This is way too white, no feeling
Absolutely fantastic moves, very smooth, flawless dance from both partners, view is great as well. I would love to see more videos from this couple.

La respuesta es simple...no la tienen....solo sigen los pasos ensayados de memoria..la ventaja del gringo de poder viajar y hacernos creer q ellos tanmbien lo pueden hacer...
Definitivamente
The people who disliked this has nothing better to do, this dance is amazing
This is not salsa not even the beat to one point.
It is a clean on1(LA style) salsa. Intermediate level.
This is definition of beauty of life.🔥♥️

Great discover of the salsa dance :) Thank you !!!! ♥
Daaammnn smooth, the moves the flow everything makes me bite myself. The best by far tho, is the fact you enjoy yourselves so much
Little touch of Cuban Salsa! Linda ❤️
I'm sorry but he doesn't look very masculine with his moves. And they just rotate forever
-said the one who was never asked for his opinion
It would be better if she did not have on such tight clothes. It is distracting from the dance moves. She is talented but it is difficult to see it.
Summer days without pandemics come to my mind as I watch your amazing dance Andrea & Filip. You're very elegant. where is the place ????
Sky observatory in Rijeka (Croatia).
You wanna get a girl pregnant? This is how you get a girl pregnant.
I think I’ve watched this video a couple hundred times just to admire this beautiful woman, she has the perfect body for this song.
Just such a sunset I have in front of me ....and I will dance in my imagination
🕺💃🌊🌞🌅❤💋💙🌹😘🌝
its good but not amazing ... it needs more latin "sabor" jejeje but i recognize that its too difficult you must to born with a breaks hips jaja
Where is the Latin flow????? 🤔
So this is how you get into their pants?
no thanks, I'm gonna stick to Robot dance.

I love how effortless the men always appear. smoothhhh
She know the steps but as a salsa dancer she need more natural movements she looks stiff... Great video tho
I love this!!!!! Starting dance lessons with the hubby and hoping to put it to practice in an equally as beautiful place!
I wish.... If she had worn a salsa dress, 👗the fun of dancing would have been doubled💕
Great combination, modern western music and latin rhythm dance
Beautiful!

A beautiful dance form with a gorgeous backdrop. Perfection!!!
Please, what is the name and singer of this song ?
Really nice dance. But please, stop playing that kind of fucking remixes. It's awful.
Bravissimi!!! Scusa ma poi lei è bellissima! :) Regards from Italy
Great sunset and dancing but the music isn’t Salsa, This video shouldn’t be labeled salsa dancing with American music
Didn't see the background at all, been busy watching the girl
Never dance in sneakers….my rule..it’s a personal thing.
Very beautiful view and the woman has a beautiful figure. Nice dance.
I really like their dancing together. You can see how they're really having fun
Amazing dance amazing place, but why you gotta use ed sheeran for salsa?
Awesome. You can tell you guys like dancing together. You all look great together
Not a hater but this is not salsa at all especially the music? The gorgeous girl and of course the view is everything
