Now that that statement is out of the way, I compare the two main versions of THPS 4. Is the PS1 release good enough? Let's find out!

I was at the Lawton skatepark the day Tony hawk and all of them were there back then lol I was in fifth grade I still remember that day, that was so cool, such a good memory!!!

TBH I prefer the levels of that game on the PS1, London, Kona and Sewers and Little Big World are pretty cool!
Zoo and Carnival feel all over the place.
And I think I rather the smaller levels of the PS1 than the bigger levels from the PS2, Alcatraz and College are great comparable levels that have the same exact feeling and feel familiar but IMO work better as smaller levels.

The ps1 port gets too much hate. The goals are the same as every other game in the series, just with less fluff. Find something, get a high score. There may be less technical skill required, but the THPS flow is still there. Which is the most important bit.
Also, there's grind extensions in the ps1 port. Press a direction with a grind, instead of double tapping, changes it.

Nice video! I played a bunch of Tony Hawk on thr ps1 but also ps2.
The tony hawk 4 was my favorite.
