A Blessing Way Ceremony is a Native American rite of passage intended to attract good fortune by establishing harmony with life, support from the ancestors and blessings from the tribe.
Blessing Way Ceremonies are used to create a sacred rite of passage around the end of one phase of life, into a new phase.
Often these sacred ceremonies were held in honor of a girl entering into womanhood at the time of her first menstruation. Or, when a woman is about to enter the adventurous journey of motherhood.
It is also used to honor other life-altering transitions such as divorce and the loss of a loved one.
A Blessingway also allows you to receive “Blessings” from your sister tribe before you embark on your new life.
A Blessing Way Ceremony is a wonderful way to incorporate the sacred and to live a heart-centered life.
