They are also causing damage to buildings that they pay for. The money for repairs could very likely lead to less budget for university departments and hence worse teaching. It’s like damaging you own property, it only ends up worse off for you. Also I wouldn’t be surprised if they get expelled but the university keeps the tuition fees.

What the administration should do is: Turn off electric, turn off the water, block all food deliveries, block Wi-Fi access. Surround building with police, allow no one to enter or leave till all leave.

She went from demanding food be brought to them to demanding they stop violently opposing others efforts to bring in food to admitting that not a single one of them has even attempted to bring food in so it is literally impossible to oppose it because it hasn't happened. They demand the university staff to deliver foods to them. They didn’t shut anything down.

If you want to protest, maybe plan it out, bring your supplies, and think about the consequences of your actions.
I've been seeing where a common demand by these protesters across sites is "immunity"...so they want the freedom to do whatever they want...set up encampments, destroy property, make campuses unsafe...but not face any sort of punishment. How great life would be if there were no consequences for our actions?!? They are petulant overgrown toddlers who need a lesson in real life.
That would require thought and education. Where could they get that? If only there was a place they could learn history. 🤔
Or, you know, do some actual problem solving for once.
