In this video, I finally built up the courage to try Hair Rooting. In my honest opinion, it wasn't very successful. But take a look for yourself! I'll definitely be attempting rooting again in the future. Keep a lookout here: ua-cam.com/play/PLM1Myfqb6Lxrng6AOoq2AbCC6YNF3XTwm.html
Your repaints look awesome! For styling hair get you a mascara brush, the bristles are fine enough to work through the hairs at scale and will help you manipulate the fibers in the wool more accurately ;)
Hey I just wanna say thank you, this vid gave me the Idea how to make my sculpture better looking rather than dull lump in the hair region. Keep it up!👍
Are you joking or kidding when you say that the other person painted much better than yours because yours looks very realistic not saying that the other person's paint wasn't great but yours looks like a real person!
your videos are amazing bro, just 10/10. Just one question: which kind of paint do you use to paint latex/silicon bodies? I have a phicen M33 body but I want to repaint the skin tone... regards
Woww... That is crazy stuff. Man I recently bought a cap hot toy and I can't help but notice a small defect on face sculpt, a small portion on the eyebrow has a gloss finish while rest is matte, is there anyway to turn that small part to matte for better consistency? Any advice or suggestion is much welcome!
Yes that is an area I've overlooked. Similar to how I bulked up the body with cotton balls, I think it's definitely possible to add some to the neck to make it thicker.
Hey,. So you got the pastel thing to work, I didn't, found they just dragged. I did some body bulking , I went through the hole where the neck is using a pipe ,pokie stick and tamper.. Cotton wool was hard and lumpy and was tricky to maneuver around. Teddy bear stuffing was much more compliant, There is a surprising amount of empty space inside them , makes me wonder how they are made that way so they are not solid.
I used two different brands of pastel. One could be used directly on the body, while the other worked better when rubbed on paper then applied with my fingers. You could try again. Do be careful with overfilling, cause my Carnage body is slowly exploding lol. There are tears around areas then I didn't even touch so I assume it's because if the stuffings. Funny thing is it's not even at the level of bulkiness that I wanted, so it's probably not a foolproof method to modify
@@zedabyu she has a bumpy road ahead of her! As long as it holds up for me to make the recast.still waiting for the 00 silicone to arrive( hope the size has not exceeded the volume, archemedies bathtup technique ) I do have some tpe glue on order seems to be taking ages to arrive.
Seems like they are even moving to sculpted hair for females... Might be easier to produce and to maintain the quality of the hair but definitely less realistic than rooted hair.
I don't really remember the brand but if you visit my WandaVision video, there will be a link for all the materials I use for hair rooting. There should be a timestamp for that portion if you wanna just skip to it.

Matte nail polish works, its cheap and easy to come by
Wow I really want a mini me
Incredible work! Is it me or does the neck look a little thin? Not sure if you can do anything about it.

300ml ! It's all good
What solution are you used for removed the paint?
99% IPA or Airbrush cleaner if that doesn't work
Hey, where did you get the hair from?
I talked about them here: ua-cam.com/video/TVfOUNtJl5U/v-deo.html
Are the oil pastels? What brand do you like TAMIYA Weathering Master 6-Sets?
I might try weathering master as I have seen some Japanese youtubers use them to shade skin colors. Do you like them?
👍👍👍👍
Nice!
Thanks!
Are any of them for sale ?
Not at the moment, no. Currently I'm too busy creating new figures to revisit old ones or make multiple copies of the same ones.
Coooooooooooooooooooool!!!!!!!!!!!
This head sculpt is so realistic cause of the hair rooting . Don't know why hot toys didn't try this method
