    My grandmother was Guyanes Arawak and my father from Georgetown. Thank you for this video. My heart belongs to the beautiful Arawak people.

    There needs to be an understanding here that as Amerindians we 'attend' two kinds of educational institutions - Tradition and Formal Education. The difference is that the former we do not attend formally, as the former education. However, at that 'school' of taught we do not sit in a class as the formal one but we learn by living it, seeing how things are done and by doing or practicing the survival skills. Therefore we cannot say that 'no body here never went to school'. Our life style / culture itself is a living 'school / institution.'
