can you please tell me the values of the red green blue line in the power chart for the ice power ?

Blu line is THD at 100Hz, green at 1kHz, and green at 6.66kHz (the last frequency which has second and third harmonic in audible bandwidth)

@@guntarssmits2104 thank you, so the red ? also its the same for 4 or 8 ohm ?

The sound of icepower is no where close to purifi based on my friends experience and reviews on forums. Also double the power get you 3 dB louder. When purifi is under power won't go far more louder either.

Try doing blind tests and calibrating output levels equal to 1 KHz first. You may be surprised. There is no magic in amplifier design today. At audio bandwidth and sound level, we can measure any tiny parameter with relatively simple measurement equipment at the electronic side and at speaker output. Also, ask simple questions. If some company designs are so good and winning, why there is no industrial integrated board taking the market by storm? Why it is not built in each studio monitor from reputable brands. Why do forums speak, but professional magazines don't. Purifi amplifier is great and I do have huge respect for the engineer designing it. But power is insufficient and lacking integrated finished design is narowing application. Small footprint Purifi integrated solution I would use for active speaker solutions driving midrange and tweeter where bridged architecture is not needed

@@guntarssmits2104 The Kii speaker is now using Purifi modules. Why not built in each studio monitors also applied to icepower. The pascal modules are more common seen in studion monitors. Also the non bridged amplifier from Hypex/Purifi don't have problem with bass drivers either. Some of the SMPS from Hypex is 2-quadrant operation for this reason.

I think, there's a lot of subjective interpretation going on.
Key is to implement the amp as good as possible, then there's just a very slight or even no audible difference.
If i remember correctly, the Ice1200 needs some serious voltage at the signal inputs, 4-5V are required for top performance.
The second thing is with every amp, to balance the complete audio chain via EQ to the same loudness over frequency when comparing amps. Slight differences (0.5dB) in octave bandwith makes a relative huge difference for listeners. I strongly doubt there's much potential when doubleblind testing amps of this level or up at home loudness level that needs 0.5-5W RMS. No doubt either, that there are better designs out there, but much pricier too. This said, a well done tpa3255 in mono, with or without feedback circuit, will do the trick too.

@@yo3429 The 200as2 is tpa3255 based amp. 1200as2 isn't. They use their own iceedge control chip as stated in their product description.

@@youtube改名也太難了吧 I would recommend listening to Harbeth Engineer's video about amplifier power. It may better answer why you need the power for uncolored sound reproduction. ua-cam.com/video/Y3WpRY-EtX8/v-deo.htmlsi=m3r9YUcwqFvVJd5d My message was that today any good company can make an audio amplifier at the level that in blind tests humans are not able to distinguish differences. Specifications do not matter anymore. This is the main reason why studio monitors do not have Purifi, Icepower, and other company boards integrated into their products. Price and independence from the third party is the key. However, using a third-party board is an advantage when you are limited to time-to-market or lack technical capability. Most of the professional build boards are not available for consumer markets and I am glad that Icepower is making their best pro boards available for DIY customers. This is a rear case. Most consumer amplifier boards directly available to end users are heavily overpriced due to small volume production. Sales are reinforced by massive high-end related marketing messaging in the digital domain. Typically products are split in 3-4 pieces to give a feeling that the price is ok. But when you put everything together you may be surprised about 150W amplifier finished goods price.
Today amplifiers by specifications are far below humans' hearing threshold. As a species, we do not have good sensor-level hearing and it is compensated by brain processing. It gives unlimited fields for marketing. The trend that I have seen today in High-End audio: the amplifier part is relatively simple but reinforced by significant signal processing at digital sound processing. And it works. You can compress low frequencies and expand middle frequencies to make our speaker part sound more impressive and compensate lack of power.
