Nubin had a RAs score of 3.7, when was the last time Packers drafted a guy like that early?
Day 1 or 2 picks since 2000: 7 picks below an RAS of 5. HHCD, Abdul Hodge, Quinten Rollins, Eddie Lacy, Richard Rodgers, BJ Raji, and the only guy with an RAS of less than 4, Randall Cobb at 3.65.
Not 100% sure if true but I saw he tested while injured (not sure why) but he likely didn’t test as well as he would have.
I think amari rodgers and jace sternberger too

You lost me at Mims and Nubin with the first two. Neither fit the Packers draft profile (though I won't discount the visit they had with Mims). I doubt Nubin is even on their board after his testing and guys like Bishop and Hicks are much better fits for out D at the bottom of the 2nd/top of the 3rd. Cooper, yes, we'll be in on him. But I think they're going to be looking very hard at trying to get one of those blue chip CBs in Arnold or Mitchell and if they can't trade up a few spots or one doesn't fall, they'll trade back a little and look to grab Kool-Aid and maneuver to get 3 2nds and look to grab their top rated LB, an OL that fits their profile (Rosengarten, for instance), and their Safety at the bottom of 2, top of 3. If the board falls as predicted, we could still snag a change of pace back like Bensen or Wright at the back end of 3 and we're cooking from then on.

Tom, I've heard reports of Penn State OT Olu Fashanu potentially falling to the teens. If he makes it past the Saints at 14, how would you feel about the Packers trading up with the Colts at 15, Seahawks at 16, or Bengals at 17 to grab him? (Might have to give up both 3s to move from 25 to 15-17)
Best to draft for each team if you’re gonna use the PFF mock sim, if you auto sim you’ll end up with top 30 guys going top 10 cause they like them better than most. Also, I don’t think it’s been updated to account for free agency and test scores.

I dont think we'd draft Mims, only due to the fact we never draft o-line high. Last time we did that was Jenkins in the Second. I really do believe that we do cb round 1. Maybe Cooper, maybe McKinstry, who knows.
I'm always confused on why an offensive team like the packers mock drafts revolve around defense. I know its what the gutenwurst will do but that don't make it right lol.... Lean into the packers strong point and at least fantasize about drafting offense LOL
Edgerrin Cooper would have a lot of us estatic!!! He would bring that Matthews vibe! Cooper would bring that defense to a whole another level! I really like this mock and it seems like a total Packers kinda move! Sure I would be a little bum not getting Kool-Aid but if we want O-line day 1, then that really would kick open the door to get Nubin, and if smh pray that Cooper is there at 58, I absolutely think we can crush it for sure. Gutekunst could totally trade up too if they want to get Cooper as well, Davis as RB would be very nice! He’s a RB that absolutely take the role of Aaron Jones

1. Cooper Dejean CB/S
2. Graham Barton OL
3. Payton Henry LB
4. Kris Jenkins DL
5. Hicks SS
6. Trey Benson RB
7. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. LB
One even where Isaac Guerrero and Breylon Allen lasted til round 7 and had a shot at Brendan Rice or McCaffery
Honestly, Vaki from Utah would be a great pick in the third round.

The Pack under Gute will not draft a big 6'8" O-Linemen. At least not historically, especially think its a stretch for our first rounder.
I totally disagree with this mock and that's totally fine. Imo tackle and safety are both needs but I'd say tackle maybe round 2 more like round 3 or 4. Safety again like a 4th round spot for me. Running back prbly 4 or 5. I just don't think those are positions we need to target round 1 or 2. I think rounds 1 and 2 should be cb, mlb, and d line or iol. Ik we have kenny, but behind him we haven't seen much from anyone. Josh Myers hasn't been good and nobody thinks he'll be on the team next year. And also we lost Runyan so we could definitely target someone who can come in and start at right guard. Just my opinion. I would be down with a round 1 tackle if we move Zach tom to guard or center tho

I simply don't understand how supposedly football savvy people would mock a first round pick on a non-QB who won't start in year one. Other than QB in round one, any pick MUST be an expected STARTER in the coming season. To select a backup in round one does the team no good and is a wasted pick.

I would like to point out that Edgerrin Cooper has almost THREE TIMES the number of missed tackles compared to Payton Wilson. Even Junior Colson is a much better tackler than Cooper. And I am sick to death of watching the Packers defense being unable to tackle the ball carrier.
@@tort1305 Missed tackles and bad angles are super fixable when moving to the next level. We have seen this so many times with other players.

Same thing happened for me and That's Good Sports. Though my team isn't even in the AFC, I have hated the Broncos most of my life. I couldn't stand Elway (still don't like 'em). Then, sometime in 2017 I found Brandon Perna... and by Gaawwd, between his sense of humor and our shared hatred of the KC Chiefs (plus, the recreated scene of Reservoir Dogs with a Tom Brady Lego head... 🤌🏻🤣). I no longer hate the Broncos. Kinda cheer for 'em, actually. Silently. In the prison that is my mind.

I don't see any way J.J. wont go to the Vikings and having him come back to Detroit (or possibly LA Chargers?) in 4 years would be wonderful. If the Vikings cannot win with the 5th highest earner in NFL history then J.J. will also probably not be able to take them to the promised land. It will remind me of rooting for Tom Brady but against the Patriots, I hope J.J. will do well while the purple faeries crumble around him.

I can't see G.B picking Nubin this early because he has a dreadful RAS score. You know how Gutey loves his RAS scores.
I don't think the packers will be looking at RB this year. In a "weak" class and with AJD back they should be set for the upcoming season. I could see them trading one of the 2nd rounders for a first next year however. That would allow them to contest for the top RB in the 2025 draft.

I’ve had a weird feeling. Don’t be surprised if the Packers rebuild this running back room… I’m thinking if Trey Benson is there at 58 the packers run that card up… Trey has potential to be a Jonathan Taylor type running back and I think a guy no one is talking about is Kimani Vidal out of Troy… that kid is gonna be a special player.
In my opinion I think Trevon Wallace from Kentucky would better than cooper because Wallace is a good open field tackler and can pass rush if needed
