you dont know how happy it made me to see the 2x piece drop when you cut on 45 bevel. Used my buddies festool 55, such an almost tool that fails so simply. Thanks for the review!

Haha glad I could be of help! It also has probably twice the power of the festool!

I have one, it was wonderful to use on a fencing project. just one small tic mark for length, set up and cut

It's definitely one of my favorite tools for fast framing and exterior trim projects

Regarding your kss 40, do you have any issues with the blade digging in to your work when running it along the track?
I bought one after watching one of your videos and have had a problem where it would be cutting nice then it would just dig in to the work and damage both the track side and the off cut of wood, almost like the blade had wobbled.

I was using mine today! I have definitely not had an issue with that. I would absolutely call and get a replacement. They have a year warranty

See this confuses me a lot, I am looking at buying this saw but if "you are not going to get a square cut" what is the point? Why pay all that money for out of square cut?
Also, a lot of folks are reporting blade wobble issue and something about saw or blade pushing the guide rail off the line with blade wobble (details probably lost in translation from german forums), so I am totally confused as to why would metabo even release the saw in such condition. Very disappointing as I was looking forward to mafell like cross cut system.
I get perfectly square cuts with a squared line and cheap corded Stanley saw, just not as quick obviously.
    Save more and get kss60?

      Buy the kss60
My kss40 is money and I'll be buying the 60 when I can justify it
