For years seemingly, Richard would perform in the North of England only, mostly to a room of diehards like myself asking ourselves, 'Why can no-one else recognise the genius of this man'. Fast forward a couple of years, I'm in a newsagents in Auckland NZ looking through magazines, I spotted Richard on the cover of Wire magazine. And all felt right with the world. Finally.
