    Even though it turned out the cause of the running toilet was a build up of limescale preventing smooth operation and so a running toilet, this video gave me the confidence to know I could get in there without flooding the bathroom.
    In my case we have a space save cistern, so some disassembly was required inside the less deep tank - nonway the flush and valve wiuld come out otherwise, but I got there in the end.
    All it took was a clean and I could get it running again.
    Thank you!

    Hi Stan,
    I disassembled, checked and cleaned my system as per your splendidly clear (and very useful) videos - then (even tho' my French is a bit rusty) I reassembled everything and, lo and behold, everything is working properly again 🙂
    Thank you so much.

    Thanks. This video gave me the confidence to take the unit apart, clean it and replace a burst hose. Save a LOT of money.

    Awesome thanks. Most videos just cover the flush valve washer change, this is gold. Thanks!

    This may help someone as not all Geberit faceplates have the clip at the bottom. I watched loads of videos and the clip is always shown at the bottom. I spent a frustrating time trying to get mine off (by pushing upwards) and almost breaking it in the process. Mine (a 2017 model) has the metal spring clip on the LEFT side. Therefore to remove the faceplate you need to push it to the right then unclip the right-hand edge. HTH. Cheers from UK.

      This is very true and means you don't have a Sigma cistern, this video is only for the sigma cistern as that's the one I have, Geberit do a whole range of different models, like Kappa, Delta, Omega, this video is purely for the Sigma cistern.
      The other cisterns flush plates operate from the side, Sigma from the bottom, also the gap to access the internals is smaller on other models and the internals are slightly different in the others although very similar so you can work it out based on my video here, as it's pretty much exactly the same procedure.
      Always happy to help if you're struggling in the future.

    This and the accompanying video saved me a lot of money and headaches, thank you. I have a traditional external cistern, but the stuff inside was the same. My local DIY shop (Bunnings in Australia) had replacement washers etc for this brand which helped a lot.
    👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    Does anyone know if this Is this similar to a Geberit Kappa concealed cistern?

    • @brookesagencies
      @brookesagencies  Рік тому

      Yep pretty much it’s the same , you’ll need a screwdriver to remove the kappa back plate and it’s a bit tighter to get your hands in and mess around but it’s the same principle with the fill valve and flush valve
