It will never not boggle my mind as to how people find it ok to treat horses(or any living being) so poorly. My thoughts and prayers are with these 26 horses, and I hope they find their forever home. These horses deserve a life filled with love. 🫶
A pony is for life! I had my first pony for 26 years. I had to have her put down at 31 because she had a tumor behind her eye. I'm now 57 and have two ponies aged 11 and 12. Hopefully we'll all be together for at least 20 years ❤

Adopt a horse or pony from the ILPH/ WHW, these Animals will repay you ten fold. They just want feeding/watering, but most of all a loving and caring human being, to keep them safe. My horse is an ex LeTrot racer who was injured and retired that would’ve otherwise been slaughtered. I can’t imagine anyone wanting that future for him and I’m grateful his owner handed him over to the rescue he came from… We need to stop breeding horses recklessly, for a start, then no horse will be ‘invaluable’ and thrown away like these were about it be! So glad you’re spreading awareness of WHW ❤
I volunteer at a horse rescue in Vermont and its astounds me what people can do to animals and what horses can overcome. I'm going to the barn tomorrow cause we have an ex Amish Belgian that we rescued from a kill pen arriving
They buy from Bowie Texas Livestock, they're very dishonest as are most kill-pen sellers who prey on people's emotions to make their money. Fletcher farms is amazing.@@susanwestern6434

Thinking about the conditions in the truck is honestly horrible. I think that is amazing that Esme is promoting how bad it is aswell. It always breaks my heart to see horses who end up in auctions or on their way to the slaughterhouse. I wish I could rescue them all. They deserve to live a happy, peaceful, worry free life. The one running to the fence to you looks similar to our rescued mare. They are sooo beautiful ❤

world horse welfare and the rspca are incredible people. recently we have had over 40 horses that were dumped by the side of the road that got into the woods round where i live. the horses were all shapes and sized from shetlands to cobs and many severely malnourished. thankfully with the help of us and our amazing community and the incredible police group all horses were found and got the best care. all horses are now either at a rescue or have been rehomed.
Crying after watching this video, these ponies and horses like all others deserve love and care. I can’t even wrap my head around the fact people don’t seem to think or do so. Thank you Esme for using your platform to bring awareness for this important topic, it’s amazing to see your passion and kindness towards these animals ❤

I was so upset when I heard about these beautiful souls and the trauma they would have endured on that horrendous journey which would only have resulted in their death. It makes me so angry that innocent and sentient beings are treated like this by 'so called' human beings .... what ugly ghastly people they are!! So thankful that the transport lorry was intercepted and these souls rescued.
God, nearly shed a tear during this. I'll never not be mindblown how some people (not sure if you can even call them human) treat horses, ponies, any animals like this. It’s so sad how some people find it okay to treat horses/animals so poorly. It’s so heartbreaking to see the condition of some of the animals not just on the outside but how it mentally affects them 💔 just like crocus, she looks like a she could be a little kids pony but seeing how nervous she is around people screams to you how difficult it was for her. Its amazing to see how world horse welfare has helped and cared for these horses❤️🩹 And is giving them the life every single animal/horse deserves! These horses may be considered low value in the UK but are called Gypsy Vanner types in the USA and go for thousands of dollars. Amazing how what is common in one place in the world is basically exotic in another. Love you, Esme, and all you do for horse lovers and horses.
Hi Esme 3 months back someone sponcerd a little 11h pony named Hamish for me Hamish had been abused before going to horse trust, and I went to see him about 3 weeks ago as a birthday gift and he was the kindest pony ever i cant believe how much work has been done in so little time. xx

These horses may be considered low value in the UK but are called Gypsy Vanner types in the USA and go for thousands of dollars. Amazing how what is common in one place in the world is basically exotic in another. Love you, Esme, and all you do for horse lovers and horses.
These are unregistered with no known ancestry. Over breeding for a few bucks even if it's for meat, is the heart of this problem.
Hi Esme 3 months back someone sponcerd a little 11h pony named Hamish for me Hamish had been abused before going to horse trust, and I went to see him about 3 weeks ago as a birthday gift and he was the kindest pony ever i cant believe how much work has been done in so little time. xx

Monday 19th February 2024 I would very much like to say a Big Thank You to everyone who helped to save those horses 🐎 and it must have cost you a lot of money to feed them and take care of any medical expenses.
