I remember my teacher showed me this. But she didn't like how I draw my character cartoons style. but when she showed me this I was like hm... I wanna be like Matt someday.
He's accomplished obviously, there's no question about that. But his hand positioning looks SOOO uncomfortable for art... Just me as an artist pointing this out!
It's just a lefty thing. When people see me draw or write with my left hand, they always think I must be in such an uncomfortable position due to how I hold a pencil. It may look bad, but we lefties get used to it.
I believe that everyone is an artist. I love art and drawing/painting, I have done ever since I can remember but I hated art at school. There is something about academic art and somebody telling another person that their art is right or wrong that I find so off putting and improper. The only time I think art can be wrong is if you ask somebody to paint you a blue boat and they paint you a green armchair. But even then you could bring up interpretation.

ESPECIALLY due to the fact that he's left handed, that's hell for me to even look at because I use my right.
