The european market is dead for Russia, even for decades, if not a full century. Furthermore, there will be no demand anymore. 60% of german energy is either wind or solar right now, still growing. Imagine: Being a gas station and everyone drives EVs or Hydrogen cars...That´s what concerns the OPEC and Russia so badly - their markets will vanish in the next 50 years.
That expensive crap isn't eve made for attacking bridges. Bridges are extremely hard to destroy from a distance, especially such a massive and sturdy one as the Crimean Bridge, which is built to withstand the rough sea, including ice masses and all. A bunker buster isn't useful for that. Those are made to crash through bunker ceilings and then can release the full power of the explosion in the small space inside. Meanwhile when you attack a bridge, the majority of the explosive force will just vanish in thin air. You would need several perfect hits right into the same bridge pillar to maybe do enought damage to destroy it, but that alone is borderline impossible, even more through air defense and electronical warfare. Hitting anything else will at best make a hole - what is easily repaired. That detonatig truck the Nazis used for their ISIS like terror attack had much more explosive power than those missiles (and was 100 times cheaper...).

The Kerch Strait bridge is both more direct and can support more road and rail traffic than those traversing the so-called land bridge. If the Ukrainians were able to destroy the Kerch strait bridge, it would greatly reduce the Russians' ability to supply Crimea from Russia.

Bridges are extremely hard to destroy from a distance, especially such a massive and sturdy one as the Crimean Bridge, which is built to withstand the rough sea, including ice masses and all.
A bunker buster isn't useful for that. Those are made to crash through bunker ceilings and then can release the full power of the explosion in the small space inside.
Meanwhile when you attack a bridge, the majority of the explosive force will just vanish in thin air.
You would need several perfect hits right into the same bridge pillar to maybe do enought damage to destroy it, but that alone is borderline impossible, even more through air defense and electronical warfare.
Hitting anything else will at best make a hole - what is easily repaired.

The worst is that the German military officials admitted that the Crimean bridge would not change the course of the battle and it is not a military target but an image and civilian one. So let's say Germany is involving itself in an act of terrorism like UK and US did.
Kerch bridge is used heavily for logistics. Destroying the bridge would significantly cut russian supplies. Also politically it would hurt putin and his support.

This is merely a western thinking propaganda that it will hurt Putin so isn't kind of stupid to base your military attack on a political target that you know it will change nothing ?
