In this video I install and re-furnish some engine steadies with super pro bushings.
I’m very impressed with the product and so far, I would recommend them. But time will tell to their reliability.

you may want to move your overflow fuel pipe away from the exhaust manifold
Mini -stay Bars proved a Problem on every single mini they were fitted to.
Sounds sweet driving it mate, accelerates pretty quickly. I wonder what the diff ratio is, it sounds pretty low revving at 70mph
Classic Mini Workshop thanks Keith. I have no idea on diff ratios. It’s a standard city E as far as I can tell. I’m sure mr Jeffries would know more. Both of the 998’s I’ve had seem to pull fairly well tbh, but the 1275 is an itch I must scratch lol
@@minitom7772 Over many decades, I have tried most of the A series engines in a Mini, to my mind for road use the 1098 is often overlooked, it has quite a large torque advantage over the 998.
Where did you get the bushes from?
Phillip Plant I got them from Moss in Bradford. They have a few more stores in the UK or online at Moss-Europe. They’re called super pro bushes
My '88 mini has all poly bushes/engine mounts from previous owner....also fitted a 1275 lump. Some say it's not good to have all poly. There is a a fair bit of vibration in the car from these I'm sure.
You’d be amazed how much the engine would have been moving. You should check your exhaust mounts too as they could have worked loose from the engine movement too. They form part part of the stabilization. My manifold had actually cracked from the movement.
Fix'n Things that’s a good shout about the exhaust mounts. I converted to the rubber hangers so I’d best check they’re still inline

Worn diff components will produce a klonk that sounds like mounts..

I would recommend getting your 2nd gear fixed as it will cost more the longer you leave it 👍
Ha, it was my gear change, the gears in that engine were brilliant to be honest. It now has a new engine and box due to another issue I had
That top tie arm .. get the upgraded polly bushes for them . Those black rubber ones are crap .
