Actually it makes perfect sense. In the first movie, they were debating where the Graboids came from. Earl chimes in and says "I vote outer space. No way these are local guys."

Micheal Gross is one of my two favorite Actors, the other being Tim Curry. and Burt Gummer is my American patriotic Hero, if only we could have a real president like him. Tremors is among my all time favorites, along with Congo, Starship Troopers, and Deep Blue Sea.

I can imagine a bunch of scientist experimenting with tremors on mars and these precambrian worms go crazy and conquer the planet line in Teraformars, then Val's daughter and a bunch of other randoms go to space to eliminate the Alien tremors.
my second idea is that in the far future an Exo-planet have alien tremors and ur protagonists would try to fix their space ship and survive the Tremors ando other alien species like the Bixbi's Shrimp thing
