Turok: Evolution is a first-person shooter video game released for the Game Boy Advance, PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube in 2002. A port for Microsoft Windows was released in 2003 for the European market. It was the last to follow in the series before it was rebooted by a 2008 entry in the Turok video games series, called Turok. It is also the first game in the series not be released on the Nintendo 64.
The game begins with the seer, Tarkeen, explaining the history of the Lost Lands which had, for years, been fought over by tyrannic warlords.
On earth during the old west, Tal'Set faces off his enemy, Captain Bruckner, and succeeds in cutting off his arm, but both of them are sucked into a wormhole. The wormhole opens in the jungle canopy of The Lost Land and Tal'Set is nearly killed from the fall. He is found unconscious by the people of the River Village who call upon Tarkeen to heal him. Once healed, Tal'Set enters the jungle to fight reptilian humanoid enemies known as the Sleg, aiming to keep them away from the Village. Tal'Set and River Village pilot Genn fly upon pterosaur-back to evict the Sleg from the jungle and destroy their air ship.

I didnt have a memory card for the first 6 months of owning my ps2 and this was my only game. I played the first few levels over and over and over lol

I had a memory card, but for some reason that I don’t remember, it never worked with the game. The first four chapters are the ones I remember the most.
I eventually learned the unlock all levels cheat, and then played a bunch of the jungle chapter and the city chapters as well. My memory of those still pales in comparison to the first four chapters, though.

Pure nostalgia. I'll always remember playing split screen on that map where there were a bunch of huts in the trees and if u were have fallen off, u had to deal with the very young T-rexs

My first ever Fps when I was only only 6 in 2008. My dad bought me Turok: Evolution along with the Playstation 2 for my birthday, mostly because I loved dinosaurs at the time so seeing the velociraptor on the front made me excited to play. I remember playing through the level and thinking the graphics were amazing, I really felt like I was a hunter in a prehistoric time. If this game was remastered with full 4k graphics I would be in awe xD. My dad and I would spend days and hours on this game, switching controllers every time someone died or if I got too scared or couldn't get past a part in the mission. I remember the pain staking hours it took for us to complete those gosh darn flying levels, we both always use to dread when we had those levels. Enjoyed it much more being on the ground. We used blitz through some levels and be stuck on them for days but it was just fun spending time with my dad. The sad thing is I think the game was so long or I just cant remember but I don't think we ever finished the game, or at least I wasn't there if my dad did it without me. This game felt ahead of its time despite being released the same year I was born. I plan to get the game again and play through the whole thing with my dad again. I know no one might read this or even read down this far but I plan to come back to this comment in a couple years and reply on how it went.

it's funny how when I was a child the game was so hard for me but as an adult I went back to playing it and it was super easy. I loved this game so damn much.
Now if this was remastered, a lot of people would go back to this game and just never ever stop! Because the story mode is fantastic, the dinos and lizard men are cool, oh and the boss fights are always memorable!!! The last thing to add to this game is "possibly" an online multiplayer campain, just like what Titanfall/Titanfall 2 did, but with dinos and lots of gore!!!!!

The memories. My brother and I would play this game and never get past the beginning, yet we played it over and over. I still remember shooting the pterosaurs out of the sky with my bow and arrow. Then play local multiplayer when we couldn’t get past the beginning.
I loved how there were like 50 different characters you could be in multiplayer but it didn’t really matter the difference XD

Loved this game when i was little
I remember the level where you had to fly on the pterodactyl . Shit was so hard to complete. Also one hard level was where you were in a rainforest with more plants and animal life than usual than the other levels. Love this game. Hope I can play again very soon

'ONE of the best' thats what i said, i did not say the best. I know halo was way ahead of this. Im not dumb. Yet it was such an amazing graphics and it blew my mind a bit. Now you can olny imagine how i went crazy when i saw halo for the first time. I went nuts! I was so hard in love with halo.

No, only GameCube, Xbox the original, PS2, and pc. You can get the pc version for free I believe, on Amazon it's about 60 some dollars for pc, but I'm sure you could find it cheaper
