@@irenaholc3990 - No they didn't. ABBA's 'Dancing Queen' was their own Song. They wanted something with a similar backing 'Beat' to George McCrae's 'Rock Your Baby', (1974), but they didn't actually copy that Song at all. Apart from Shania copying off 'Dancing Queen', the Dutch Group, Champagne also copied off it, in 1977 - 'Oh Me Oh My Goodbye'.

Most of 'Dancing Queen' is 100% ABBA's creation. They just wanted to emulate the backing rhythm of 'Rock Your Baby'. They did not actually do a straight copy of it. Just a similar backing sound - in parts of their Song
