The Bob Ross of powertool repair. Interesting to watch, easy to listen to and ya learn something in the process. Only thing missing are happy accidents.😁👍
Love these videos. What gets me is an expensive tool fails on a $2 part, and the labour in the repair makes it almost un economical to repair. Then the next tool has a easy to swap part, but the part costs is enormous.
Thanks for the video What it could be that on hammering both modes knocks even too hard and proper shacking ,took the striker from its housing greased up was holding the pressure. Assembled started with softer hammering and once started drilling whent back to harder hammering. Probably needs new striker with the housing?
These get used for heavy work they are no designed for. Fella fitting our EV charger drilled a 20mm hole through 9 inch wall with small battery SDS. Even going up in drill size, kept stalling on clutch.
@@deandohertygreaser thanks. So this tool breaks more often than others, but in my mind the versatility of its small size for a good sds drill makes up for that. Obviously one should use something else for bigger jobs.
I like the recycling of recovered parts. Do you pay the original owner anything for the scrapped machine or charge anything for the reuse of parts. Just out of interest.
just another repair this time. Iv done a video from them before in the past. showcasing some for their storage products. So I'm assuming they don't mind me showing their label this time. Normally i cover up names and number because they might not want them shown on UA-cam.
@@deandohertygreaser ah understood it’s great they are interchangeable I wasn’t doubting your genius for a second great video keep them coming so interesting and educational
Been watching you for a little while now , so therapeutic watching you fix all these power tools

Quite a nice tool for a small SDS hammer. A very interesting rebuild that saved a tool.
The way you rip these tools apart and toss the bits to the side….. leads me to believe you have done this once or twice before 😂😂 🙌
The storage that Rack zone sent you a while back is really is a good setup. Another great fix Dean.
I have no idea how to do these things but i love watching others do it.
Dean with your expertise and popularity they should send you a drink or two.Tim in the canaries
Nice job Dean. Lookin forward to the next vudeo!!!
Good job repairing the bumble bee, Dean. Cheers!
How in Gods name do you throw all the pieces everywhere, and are able to put it back together like it’s nothing??? You’re very good at what you do.
Excellent repair !!!!!!!!!!!

So impressive. I fixed a DCH253 and DCH273(brush ring and piston oring) before and by god was the housing a fucker. Should've watched you first.
Favorite Dewalt user out of Africa thanks for another video
I am going to have to look to see where I can get the different syringes as they would come in handy.
Veterinary procedures and for administering medication to pets. Commonly available in pet stores and cheap. That's one source.
I may be wrong but i think you forgot that seal in the front of it, it was in the old housing but not in the replacement, love your videos
the old housing used a different seal. the second hand one i used is the old type, it has the seal built in
Thanks!!!!
You do a great job Dean. Is that Bosch grease for sale to the public?
yes its 1615 430 001. but it only comes in 225mm tubes and cost around 30-40 euro
very good job amaizing
Did you know that all Dewalt cordless tools are secretly made by Lego ?
Hey Dean can you make a makita radio please
?
Which one?
How does one obtain a service manual for tools
Are they saying your shop smells a little 🤣🤣
What sort of grease do you use ?
Is this insde housing available as a spare part?
Yes

Seems like an ad for rackzone
they have sent him some stuff in the past but not this time
Well done Dean I’m always amazed how you can put it all together again

Like I said, this has to he the worst cordless SDS drill ever. They always break.
noramly this only happens with the brushless models. surprised it happens with the brushed drills also
Chisel lock on the brushless version is crap always slips
Jep, might aswell buy a Parkside...
@@alouisschafer7212 At least you get a three or five year warranty with Parkside depending on the tool!
Do you have any experience with them or you're just saying that because of Dean's videos?
Plastik gear housing🤨👎
actually the housing rarely fails on these, its the parts inside that gives trouble
Thats not the problem here at all.
I was thinking of overheating...that could be a partial cause of the grease leaking n the use of other internal components...that's what I'm thinking🤔
Please add the cleaning process to the video
Hi dean I didn’t notice the o ring on the second hand casing at the front is it not needed?
I used the older type second hand casing. The seal is built into the coding itself in the halfs
