Seeing another world would be cool, but for me, being awake for the journey would be far more fascinating. All those people sleeping through lightyears of unimaginable majestic wonders in space. It gives me chills just thinking about what they would see. Undescribable, unimaginable, small and enormous, beautiful and frightening things.
@@ruthwikmuppala It's all perspective. Emptiness to you isn't emptiness to me. With that view from the ship, I could spend my entire life studying different parts of that view and never see even half of it. Also, sleeping through that journey almost ended up killing everyone if not for the glitch that woke them up on accident.
Well, unfortunately u can't have the best of both worlds. Choice is a thing! U're glimpsing it from a transient worldview as u do on Earth. But if u're undertaking a hundred and twenty year cosmic voyage, never able to reenter the preservative cryogenic hibernation chambers, u'd age accordingly & perish long b4. That's why it's IMPORTANT to consider Eternity and make Jesus Christ, the Savior & Lord of your life. It's not a religion but a personal relationship with your Maker. GBU.
@@rclines001I think you’re delusional. You have never been on a cruise, it’s literally just water and max after an hour you’re like ok I get it. Space is the same thing. It’s just, black
Yep. Starting the movie from Aurora's POV without knowing Jim woke her intentionally...and the audience slowly piecing together what is more accurately a horror story.
Nope, becomes 10 times worse. Because instead of seeing a man break down over time and do what he even considers to be unthinkable, the drowning man pulling someone else down with them. You'd get a love story turned horror, which then turns into what seems like forcibly justifying his actions. The movie would have been dumped in reviews and been a flop because it would more strongly appear as justification for creeps doing what they do.

So the travel speed is the only thing you don't find realistic about this film from today's perspective? The hypersleep or the distant planet in another solar system doesn't bother you at all? xD
think what our ancestors would find our present living world to be realistic or fantasy? Now imagine yourself just 50years ahead in future, you're going for a date in Mars. To hook up with a Martian you just met online few days back. Life is going to be easy my dude.
The most Romantic Space Date ever 🌃🌃🌃♥️♥️♥️

I think it’s definitely a concept for ‘cruise people’ where the journey is most of the fun.
Most of space is just emptiness....

Passengers was one really good movie.
If you flip the beginning and middle of this movie it becomes better than the theatrical release by 10 fold.

This was a good movie. the 2 stars made it work.
Jennifer Lawrence has never looked more beautiful than she did in this movie.
Agreed. This is where I fell in love with her.
Her sandals are absolutely gorgeous...
and the note comes back "Read: 4:17 PM"

That's messed up what he did to her 😂
What did he do?
@@davidhall8874 He saved her life and everyone´s life in the ship
They should have had an android on the bridge.
Add an android in engineering.
That would make 3.
Yeah, I'd be up for a space walk. That would be way too cool. Sadly, probably not in my lifetime. But maybe in another 50 years.
I'd like to be the only one. I would never wear clothes again.
They suppose to go at 50% of light speed. Every second they travel about 150000km. Not sure its realistic
yes but they have to please the female audience
@@steved5960What a STUPID comment?!
Not realistic how
