1 critique- i would definitely make sure your skin can tolerate glycolic acid. if you have a big event or something tomorrow & you want that ‘glowy boost’ don’t just do a 20% glycolic acid wipe and then be surprised when your face is bright red the next day 😂😂😂 definitely a strong product (the bliss pads) and not something to use if you aren’t sure of how your skin will react (especially right before an important event!)

I had clear skin and had mild breakouts until a year and a half ago (I just turned 25) I started having that hormonal cystic acne.. it was so embarrassing and I never wanted to leave the house. I’m so happy my sister introduced me to Beauty Within♥️ y’all are my rock in skincare!
I invested in a BHA and I’m so glad I did because it did wonders to my skin. My skin cleared up but now I’m left with post hyperpigmentation. I’m taking it day by day.
I always tried to dry out my skin just to get rid of texture and dullness by using exfoliating acids, toners, cleanser etc. I just started using a hydrating toner because it seemed nice and did a couple layers for 2 days, and let me tell you my texture looks 50% better and my hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone looks so much better??? If any of you are dealing with dullness or texture or anything bad just remember hydration.

I found the book "women code" really helpful to deal with hormones imbalance the first step is to regulate blood sugar level and keep it as level as possible throughout the day. It has helped me get my skin clear so I can focus on the hyerpigment and large pores left behind now.
If you are comfortable with it, going on birth control is the easiest way of regulating your hormones! It helped get rid of my hormonal acne. Stress relieving activities such as exercise, reading, meditation, etc. also help a ton :)
I really like you to show use your routine step by step (I have a AHA +BHA toner a vit C moisturizer and a retinoid and now i’m to scared to use them together 🥲)
Felicia mentioned that she’s been slowly weaning off these strong exfoliants and said there’s other ways to treat breakouts. I was wondering what other ways there were.
wow! this is EXACTLY the info i was looking for! thanks so much for this, really! its weird: salicylic acid doesnt really do anything for my hormonal acne. and i started using the ordinary's strongest 1% pure retinol (similar to what was mentioned in the video), but it has done NOTHING for me. i mean, ZERO. no pealing, no tingling sensation, nothing. there are warnings on their website about how strong it is, but i apply it (correctly, i think) right after cleansing and, weirdly, i get nothing. this video was helpful to consider other options. thanks!
I do have combo/oily skin too and I think that my problem is the hydration though I'm using soothing and hydrating toners all the time even for my cleanser (rarely exfoliating toners). CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT EPISODE 😭😭😭😭
Really great video - perfect timing. I'm going through blocked pores at the moment and have just started using BHA. I was using an AHA before for about a year and the it stopped working, now I'm breaking out.
That is wrong information regarding Differen. It is not meant to be a spot treatment. You are supposed to keep using it over time to keep the results. It’s not something you just stop. You can use it twice a week if you are irritated but it’s not something you stop. Neither is Retin A
Omg I’m so happy this was broken down into categories, because I was looking into my old journals from last year where it was a similar topic. IDK if it was toners & serums, chemical exfoliants or what products play well together😫I took notes but failed to title and date the pages🤦🏽♀️My 14 year old is having some hormonal acne challenges. She sees her dermatologist but I wanted a product list & recommendations with descriptions so I could write out a routine in her skincare journal and see if we needed a shopping list. Thanks Felicia❤️👑❤️Now I can use this valuable information in my 2021 Skincare Journal......This time I won’t forget to “DATE” the page & Title it😊😘

Hi ma'am, how long it takes before the skin gets better and minimizes the enlarged pores when using aha-bha ingredients and niacinamide too ma'am? My main problem are enlarged pores, dull skin and textured skin and also acne marks ma'am? Hoping you can response ma'am?
I really would like one of the products that has BHA in it. I looked it up and it's not expensive at all. Sometimes I feel like I break out more when I'm on birth control and anxiety. I am for sure going too but one of your guys products. I love watching your videos
hello Fel searching for a toner right now and wanted to have your recommendation and came back to your channel to find one but couldn't find a new video which was about toner. so me here thinking would you like to update about toners you recommend these days? thank you that would be amazing 💖 much love to Ro and You!!
Fel, great video!! Thank you! Fel, I find that makeup in acne prone combination skin is challenging, would you please consider making a video that provides recommendations on products and makeup routines for oily acne prone skin? Thanks!
I joined the premier for the first time and ro and fel was very approachable. So much love, like they were able to address (not sure all) but for my question Ro did mention me while giving her inputs and its really amazing 😍
Thank you so much Fel, this is very useful info for my combination/oily, acne-prone skin. I've tried the COSRX blackhead power liquid. I'm very intrigued with the Beauty of Joseon bubble toner - I'm definitely going to try this next after I finish my Pixi glow tonic!
I've found that I can use a stronger retinoid treatment on my face than I can on the delicate skin on my neck. Rettinoids can really irritate my neck if I'm not careful and the irritation can last a couple of weeks longer than the use. (I've made this mistake more than once).
I noticed that when I first started using my retinoid on my neck but with continued use it stopped and now my neck is able to tolerate the same retinal serum as my face.
@@Poeticdyme I was able to tolerate Paula's Choice 1% retinol booster easily on my neck, but had problems with The Inkey List retinol serum and with Differin gel on my neck. I really have to work up very intermittently with these products.
@@susanmcf1 Yea I worked up gradually... I use the Mychelle Retinal Serum... It's a retinaldehyde which is supposed to be more gentle and the serum is more of a lotion consistency with ceramides, etc. I know some of the retinoid serums can be really harsh but I have found this one to be quite tolerable..
I've been studying about how to use AHA, BHA, Retinol and Niacinamide for my sensitive and acne-prone and finally reached to this video. was really really helpful information, thanks heaps Felicia :)
This video is so helpful but there are so many products mentioned I’m overwhelmed. Do you have a top fave for each ingredient (AHA, BHA, Vitamin A, Niacinimaine)?

Hi! Can you also do an episode on how to combine ingredients with product recommendations that work well together for different types of skin? I sometimes have a hard time choosing which products I should get and use when I use active ingredients. Thanks!
While not related to this video’s topic, what’s your option on using serums, specifically retinols? I’m a 19 yr old female with zero history of allergies (pets, food, fabrics, etc.) and combo skin (oily t-zone/normal cheeks & chin). Can a young adult under 25 use retinols? I was thinking about trying Sweet Chef’s Vitamin A & B serums but I wasn’t sure if I should.❤️❤️❤️

Hasn't worked for me either. What actually worked were products with lower concentrations of BHA, but which I could use daily (both morning and evening). For example, the Inkey List salicylic acid cleanser and the Benton BHA toner.

Hello I hope your well, please do a video on what you would do if you had very bad hormonal acne. A week in your skin when you have a breakout kind of thing. I have PCOS and I'm going through a very VERY bad and painful breakout episode . Thank you for your time
Yes, this is also not clear for me.. Not togethers means not layer all at the same time, or not used in the same period, or not use in the same day but they can be used in the same week.... :/... Not clear
I never had acne, then I started taking the pill and in the course of three to four days my face was full of pimples. And since then I'm struggling. My doctor actually said it wasn't because of the pill but I honestly don't believe that.
@Andreea Mircea and @Educating Melanie. Thank you for the tips. I really appreciate that. I am already using Cerave for over a year now and thankfully I kind of got the breakouts under control. I found the book "women code" really helpful to deal with hormones imbalance the first step is to regulate blood sugar level and keep it as level as possible throughout the day. It has helped me get my skin clear so I can focus on the hyerpigment and large pores left behind now.
@@kplus2124 okay thank you for your recommendation❤❤
If you are comfortable with it, going on birth control is the easiest way of regulating your hormones! It helped get rid of my hormonal acne. Stress relieving activities such as exercise, reading, meditation, etc. also help a ton :)
@@tessadeighton4034 no to be honest I would never take them, because of their side effects... But thank you for answering❤
Yes!! It would be amazing! Hope it's without birth control...
I really like you to show use your routine step by step
(I have a AHA +BHA toner a vit C moisturizer and a retinoid and now i’m to scared to use them together 🥲)
Felicia mentioned that she’s been slowly weaning off these strong exfoliants and said there’s other ways to treat breakouts. I was wondering what other ways there were.
Innisfree Bija Foam Cleanser and TO niacinamide have been my holy grail!!! 😭
wow! this is EXACTLY the info i was looking for! thanks so much for this, really! its weird: salicylic acid doesnt really do anything for my hormonal acne. and i started using the ordinary's strongest 1% pure retinol (similar to what was mentioned in the video), but it has done NOTHING for me. i mean, ZERO. no pealing, no tingling sensation, nothing. there are warnings on their website about how strong it is, but i apply it (correctly, i think) right after cleansing and, weirdly, i get nothing. this video was helpful to consider other options. thanks!
This is crazy! I was looking up the answers for this today and searched your page.
Thanks Felicia❤️👑❤️Now I can use this valuable information in my 2021 Skincare Journal......This time I won’t forget to “DATE” the page & Title it😊😘
Niacinamice is so good..its very effective for acne promise not gonna lie.. maybe i should add AHA and BHA
WOW!! One of the best videos I’ve seen on acne yet! Instantly subscribed in the first 10 minutes 😁👍🏼
can you guys do a video on how to get rid of comedonal acne (more specifically close comedones).
I've had great success with the little hydrocolloid acne patches, specifically the Rael ones.
There's definitely a reason to why I came across this video on UA-cam: ua-cam.com/users/Jyovis of Jyovis Ayurveda and I was very happy to see the results. I even followed few of the tips explained and it actually worked. Then I finally decided to contact on ...... (+91 7208189103) to cure my Problem from the root cause. The team really helped me a lot. Thank you Jyovis!
This is literally the best informational video about acne! Thank you sooo muchh❤️❤️
hello Fel searching for a toner right now and wanted to have your recommendation and came back to your channel to find one but couldn't find a new video which was about toner. so me here thinking would you like to update about toners you recommend these days? thank you that would be amazing 💖 much love to Ro and You!!
Fel, great video!! Thank you! Fel, I find that makeup in acne prone combination skin is challenging, would you please consider making a video that provides recommendations on products and makeup routines for oily acne prone skin? Thanks!
thank you for putting the prices in the description with the links.

I love this channel so so much!!! Easy to understand chem/bio lesson and helping me get my skin under control!!! I love you guys so much!!
yeeez, this video has helped me soooo much! i'm literally on my way to re-organize my skincare routine. thank you so so soooo much!
Hi! Can you also do an episode on how to combine ingredients with product recommendations that work well together for different types of skin? I sometimes have a hard time choosing which products I should get and use when I use active ingredients. Thanks!
Can you post a video on how you significantly reduced your post acne marks?
This could not have come at any better time! Thank youu Fel 😍
I was thinking about trying Sweet Chef’s Vitamin A & B serums but I wasn’t sure if I should.❤️❤️❤️
So many good recommendations! You are a skin-saver! Can’t wait to try to blend some of these products into my skincare routine!

Now that I have my acne somewhat under control your video came at a great timing! Always love y’all recommendations
I use ordinarily gycolic acid i saw my acne does not appear again and my skin v
Completely clean i use all night ordinary gycolic acid because its suit me and no acne again
My skincare...
1.First sa cleanser
2. Foam cleanser
3. cosrx aha bha toner
4. Ordinary niacinamide
5. Neutrogena Hydro boost .
I'm using these products from last 3 weeks and hasn't improved my skin I got acne bumps and texture skin... am I using it wrong??? Why is it doesn't showing improvement??
So what routine would you recommend for daily use?
So many products and so hard to know what to use when!
Omg thank you so very much for this I really appreciate it. I really needed this I was just wondering the other day how much I need AHA and BHA! 😊👍💜

Do collagen face masks make your skin better?
fel you’re my favorite skinfluencer 💜 thanks for sharing your experiences and recommendation!!
I would like to see a skincare routine video through the pandemic and the use of face mask. My skin is REALLY damaged right now by the use of it. So I'm using some organic products wish are helping step by step. But I'm wondering if I'm missing something on my routine. Thanks
Thank you so much ♥️ You guys are the real MVP for us girls who are confused abt skincare ✨
The cosrx aha and bha have helped my skin soooo much.
Great timing! I'm battling my acne nowadays from post holidays treats. Currently detoxing myself. ^^
That Paul choice 2% bha toner didn’t work for my acne prone skin.
Hasn't worked for me either. What actually worked were products with lower concentrations of BHA, but which I could use daily (both morning and evening). For example, the Inkey List salicylic acid cleanser and the Benton BHA toner.
So just to be clear, it’s ok to use niacinamide after AHA?
PERFECT TIMING!! 🤩 this video will absolutely save my life! thank you so much
looove the animations 😍 they're so adorable!

2021 update video 😮😮 just in time to jot my notes and get that overall improvement with acne! Love y'all~
Hello! Fel, your video i find it very informative and i have so many things i learned after watching it.
Good luck to your team!
I wonder how people can use 5% AHA every single day because for me it is actually quite a strong percentage. My skin is tingling like crazy, red, and hot for few seconds 😂. So I only use it 2 times a week in conjunction with retinol every other day
Hello I hope your well, please do a video on what you would do if you had very bad hormonal acne. A week in your skin when you have a breakout kind of thing. I have PCOS and I'm going through a very VERY bad and painful breakout episode . Thank you for your time
Have you tried By Wishtrend’s Sulfur gel? The smell isn’t that bad plus it dries out the pimples (or brings to a head) almost overnight.
When you mention not to use it all together, do you mean you can't use this all throughout the week instead of one sitting?
Yes, this is also not clear for me..
Not togethers means not layer all at the same time, or not used in the same period, or not use in the same day but they can be used in the same week.... :/... Not clear
please do products that teens should use.
hi gorgeous... Can you please
make a video for anti aging products above age 50. Thanks!
Hey Fel, I’d love to see what you think about LHA products, they are derived form BHA’s and are supposed to be more effective but less gentle
I never had acne, then I started taking the pill and in the course of three to four days my face was full of pimples.
And since then I'm struggling. My doctor actually said it wasn't because of the pill but I honestly don't believe that.
Birth control can definitely mess up your hormones and cause acne.
It’s definitely the pill . The same thing hall to me. If you can get off the pill do it, it’s taken me five years to heal my skin
Also Cerave helped a lot and The ordinary glycolic toner and lactic acid
@Andreea Mircea and @Educating Melanie. Thank you for the tips.
I really appreciate that. I am already using Cerave for over a year now and thankfully I kind of got the breakouts under control.
I only get new ones when I am either really stressed, it's the time of the month or I am not as consistent with all of my skincare. Honestly I've become a skincare addict because of this.
Thank you for another great video Beauty Within. Just what I need to unclog my pores and remove texture!

should you apply 1.5% salicylic acid once or twice a day? Should BHA be put on everyday at night or twice daily?
@beutywithin Thank You so Much for always giving us more details on how we can manage to fight our break outs I started my journey to Adulting Acne when I turn 26-27 but back then I never had this kind of worst acne plus I figured out when I talk to Dermatologist they said I had Hormonal Imbalance. Thank You so much for this Vlog it helps me alot on how to use my Skin Care Products Carefully since I'm using the Ordinary and Pixi Products😇🙏🏻 God Bless.
Loved this in depth video explanation of the acids. Super beneficial!
Can u talk more about the hormonal acne challenge u had!!! I went off the pill and that’s all I have now
Where does the Some By Mi fall in because it has AHA, BHA and PHA? Is it treatment or prevention?
Is benzoyl peroxide for treatment? Have you used it?
Can you guys do a video on dry dehydrated skin from brands you use from YesStyle? I want to get into k beauty skincare, the ones I’ve tried I didn’t have much luck with but I’m so interested in YesStyle
I just realize . We just look a like. I mean the skintone n etc totally can relate. Acne just the biggest problem on our skin that everyone face too.
I started using The Ordinary's BHA + AHA exfoliator and Niacinamdi+zinc serum and I'm breaking out so bad (I'm around week 3/4 right now) I just hope it will go away soon and help with my break outs and clogged pores because I'm desperate. :(
How did you heal your hormonal acne? I’ve taken 2 hormone tests 🥺
Please make a video on FUNGAL ACNE for teens
After using the ordinary lactic acid serum, can i use a moisturizer containing niacinamide??? Plz reply me ma'am
Thank you for this informative video! 🙏
Is the next one out yet? Can’t seem to find it. Very interested to learn about hormone & hydration related acne. Thanksss
My issue is that i dont really have acne. But i have red spots just stuck under my skin. They dont become bumps, they dont grow, they dont produce sebum. They just stay under my skin and dont really go away. What should i use?
Omg I'm so sad I didn't get to view the premier for this 😭😭 but I love this video idea! It's so informative

Is it safe to use bha and fermented essences in the same routine?
Best product for hormonal acne on chins? I get 2-4 every month before my period 😩😩
What do you wear the tonic with? It's not cotton
Very interesting video! There is one product that I want to try and I think I haven't seen before and its Lullage serum with Nicinamide and salicilic acid. So I guess that while fights you pigmentation is cleaning your porse with acid.
🙋🏼♀️ #Phill❤️
One☝️ more question PLEASE‼️🙋🏼♀️😋
Can use ”Paul’s choice booster(niacinamide/retinol) for #every-day/night routine? OR just #during-Acne-period time⁉️❓
