Rest in peace good man, you inspired many, and touched the hearts of all who saw you run with your son
So sorry to hear that Dick Hoyt died March 17, 2021 at the age of 80. As a runner myself, I remember his inspirational story and seeing him and his son completing the Iron Man Triathlon in believe in Hawaii. What a Dad and a Man.
The absolute platinum standard for any parent. May this beautiful person rest in peace.
Every time I hear Hoyt story, I become very emotional. I wish everyone is lucky to have a great dad like him. You will live forever in our lives. RIP Dick Hoyt.

If anyone deserves a statue, it’s the Hoyts. Not only are they THE definition of athlete, they are exceptional humans that we can all only be so fortunate to strive to be like. Rest easy, Dick. Your guys’s message of YES, YOU CAN is still extremely powerful because you didn’t just say it, but you lived it and showed it.
A hero has gone but not the inspiration he gave us with his name on it.
