GMC, KMD, Melle Mel they deserve every bit of the accolades they get, and more. Swear to GOD I wish they had the same amount of $$$$ Drake has from rappin. This world is messed up in a lot of ways
So true. But although Rrake impacts the culture the 3 kings are the culture. They started the culture
ABSO FUKIN LUTELY ✊🏾✌🏾
They truly are the fathers of this. All MCs should be thankful and know their foundation fr

The GOAT! Damn that Heckler Rhyme killed it!!
That was quite dope indeed.
I met this good bro back when King George had a record spot on Delancey street, he was in there just digging (had to be late 90s early 2000s) and I went up and said, don’t want to sweat you but have to show my respect. He was mad humble and dapped me back! Definitely a legend!
Definitely one of original architects that deserves his dues. Much Respect.
Caz definitely built some of them bricks in the house of hip hop 💯
Much love to you JayQuan and Much Love to Grandmaster Caz. That Last Verse Speaks Volumes about His Evolution and penmanship.

i respect Macklemore giving those dudes a check like most new school rappers should be doing
Yes, respect to him, but I'm not fond of his rap style.
Best lesson you could come up with these quarantine days M. JayQuan !
I am a littler younger and grew up a Wu Tang fan but I remember The Rza rhymin' " The greatest crew since Cold Crush/ This poisonous slang keep MC's avoiding us"
And I became a Caz fan ever since...

Now this is the legendary emceeing architect right there! Grandmaster Caz was the truest OG along with Melle and Kool Moe Dee. That's the Holy Trinity!! I still watching the movie Wild Style because of him along with his Cold Crush Brothers colleagues. That's pure magic!
Thank you Jayquan for digging, and sharing a important part of hip-hop history.
Cool cat! Met him at The Magic show clothing convention in Las Vegas. He was my homie during the convention lol good times. Hooked him up with some WST gear the last day and was glad I got to hangout with the loco. 👑👊💯
Peace and respect.....this is great work.
Peace. Thank you for looking!
GREAT VIDEO
BOUT 2 HIT THE 1200s
Caz what of the best live M..C's
The original king of rap
Hilarious to hear the clip where the British gentleman is narrating and saying "New York Bronx Emcee Casanova Fly". As always Jay, so entertaining and educational. As a kid raised 5 miles outside of DC in PG county MD, we only heard what was played on DC/Baltimore radio here and Cas should've been one of those guys that should be on everyone's list of pioneers that we missed out on
GMC top 10 G.O.A.T 🐐 🎤.
It's a shame he never got paid for writing part of Rapper's Delight. That song has sold millions and he never got a dime.
Learning serious history from you my man!
1983 Paterson New Jersey cold Crush Brothers verse the force MCs
Passic was in the house....those were the dayz!
That was '82
Salute the general!!!! Cold Crush all day!
Another dope lesson and I need to hear the full version of that last track you played that was some fire!!

@@zeagazetotsiyon2942 lol
Nice! Can't wait for that KMD...
Wonderfully done as always. My favorite rappers were influenced by Rakim. Apparently my favorite rappers' favorite rappers were influenced by Caz. Lol Love it! 🙏🏾
Salute to you and the channel family keep up the great wrk!! COULD YOU DO ONE ON THREE 6 MAFIA?! THANKS
I was at this hip hop tour bus in NYC in 2013. A historical bus trip down memory lane around mainly the Bronx, hoasted by Grandmaster Caz speaking on a mic on the bus and showing places - amongst others the block/house where Cool Herc's and his sister were having the first hip hop party in August '73 and old clubs which were the first hip hop venues/clubs while telling the story of hip hop. We went to a basket ball yard for trying out breakdancing, another spot for rapping and yet another to check out graffiti. (There were in fact several spots, of course. One was the beautiful piece that was an homage to Big L.)
Caz also told how him and others didn't like disco music being the background for rap music. Thet found disco kinda gayish.
He also told this story of how he was a break dancer calling himself Casanova Fly and how his lyrics "I'm the C-A-S-AN THE O-V-A the rest is F-L-Y" was originally stolen(?) by Big Hank of Sugar Hill Gang, according to Caz. For those that don't know, he made this "response" to Hank/Sugar Hill: ua-cam.com/video/lDlgB9MbLNA/v-deo.html (And he performed that song on the bus!)
At the end of the tour, we all went in to this joint to have a bite to eat. In there Caz was selling his album(s) on CDs. I bought one and went all the way home to Denmark before I popped it in to listen. *Disc was blank!* ;-p
Wow!!! Sorry when you got good and out the States just to find out your CD was blank. 😟
Enlightening true a few things I didn't know. I pep the show at Roseland Ballroom Grandmaster Caz & The cold Crush Brothers they were really good.
Without question and I dare anyone to debate me, When Ice T came out with the Docu "Something out of nothing" and GMC when in with the N*gga scheme that by far was the hardest rhyme he ever said, and on the real there was life Jew-elz, in every bar that was said... Alot of HH heads like to give Caz his props on what he did back in the day but my peoples that rhyme scheme was incredible considering that Most MC past and present have used the N-word as a term of endearment or a term of disparagement. Ingenious.
This is history done right. Much respect for this fam. #SALUTE
Respect bro. Thanks for watching/listening
8:21 - Damn ... Now I gotta *_UNlearn_* what I heard since age 11/12 (1980). I love to hear more of this Grand Master Caz version of Rapper's Delight. Is it available?
He only did that piece. I'd love to hear the rest of Hank's parts as well.
Great episode
Absolute greatness!!!
Just when you think you know something you should stfu, i really like the work ethic of the scholastic content being place on your peices. Great contribution to the legacy of the greatest heavyweight champion of music genre to actually shadow most of my 50 yrs of existence..much respect!
Respect!

@Black Body Radiation Very great MC's & groups too! But for me Hip Hop was at his best and pure from 1973 till 1985 + Rakim.
Fab five Freddy has said Wild Style is Filmed in 81 to 82 :-)
I actually heard Caz say that Hank initially used his rhymes without his permission, but then when Hank eventually told him, he didn’t have that much of a problem because he didn’t know how big the song would be. Then since the original verses weren’t officially on a record, he couldn’t copyright them.
Yes, as someone else here mentioned there have been variations on the story. But he has told me multiple times that his exact words when Hank asked for the rhymes were "here, use whatever you want". He said that he wasn't sweating it because he didn't think that anything would come of the record...
great video! That Creston Ave joint is dope.
All that sounds good but you know I'm from Staten Island you know I got to shout out my big brother may he sleep in peace Charles Richard Nelson AKA Mercury from dj.dr.rock & The Force,Md's later to be change to THE FORCE,Mc'S YES WE MADE history in the hip hop community and in the R&B community plus we are in the Webster dictionary for creating hip hop doo wop
