  • The 2025 Lexus LX, an all-new luxury SUV that will debut on the market next year, shares its lineage with the J300, the fifth-generation Toyota Land Cruiser. The initial update will most likely be a redesign of the fifth-generation LX and the introduction of a hybrid variant. In regions where the primary fuel is diesel, a mild hybrid version will be available soon, while in the US, a full hybrid version running on both petrol and electricity is expected to be offered soon. In countries like Australia, where the company hopes to sell 80% electric vehicles by 2025, the LX Hybrid is also necessary for Lexus. Especially full-size versions like the LX, body-on-frame SUVs are less common than monocoque crossovers. Therefore, they last longer between generations and may even undergo more minor improvements before undergoing a major redesign in the next generation. A distinctive spindle grille, modernized LED daytime running lights (DRLs), sharper headlights, smaller lower lights and side air intakes sculpted in the bumper make the fourth-generation Lexus LX easily recognizable. To create an "inverted cabin design" and accentuate the wheel arches, Lexus lowered the side A-pillars. The 2024 LX lacks the Land Cruiser 300's upright rear doors due to the rearward-sloping D-pillar. The 2025 LX's upgraded taillights, with an L-shaped light cluster and a light bar that runs the length of the vehicle, make it easier to spot on the road compared to the LC300. Rumor has it that from the current model's starting price of around $106,000, the price will increase slightly. The LX's prospective hybrid powertrain and other improvements are responsible for this improvement. It will be unveiled around mid-2025. The 2025 Lexus LX will be the first to feature a new hybrid powertrain that combines a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with an electric motor. The estimated output of this hybrid system is 450 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. A highly efficient 10-speed automatic transmission will be used along with the engine. This new hybrid powertrain is believed to produce much higher fuel efficiency than the LX version.
