Looking at a 2006. I guess you use it for mostly city driving? If and when you are on the highway, how do you feel? Test driven a couple and they seemed comfortable up to 110.
The heat is not bad once the engine warms up. 250000 is getting really high on these cars even with the diesel, I have heard of people sinking thousands to keep the high milage ones going.
I got the same one as yours looks oil wet underneath on left side these cars have an issue with the intercooler developing a leak from the mounting bracket and will make it wet like that in turn the EGR gets gummed up putting it in limp mode was the problem with my 2006 you are in AB I know the best smart mechanic out there he fixed mine if you want the info message me!
The Engine is cold. Do not turn him so high
You need some winter tires.
Big time!!

They drive nice on a highway but when you get any type of a big wind gust they certainly feel like there a big sail and want to wander on the road
@@PovertyPointCustoms thanks for the feedback. Makes me want to pull the trigger more. Just avoid driving the highways on windy days.. ;-)
@@PovertyPointCustoms get wider tires
You actually did 110 !?
@@davidharrell8890 110km/h...
Still have it and i see from nb how do you enjoy it in winter?
They work well in the winter, but you definitely need good winter tires!
Where can I get a Diesel powered Smart car in the US?
They are becoming hard to find now since they switched to gas and electric
Hey, can I use this video for my compilation? I will give full credit

Were over on the east coast
Whats the redline of this?
4200rpm puts out about 40hp, mine was in limp mode so it wouldn't rev past 3000rpms. I'm sure it could be pushed a bit past 4200rpms.
@@PovertyPointCustoms i got an egr emulator $100 from a guy in Alberta msg me if you want info
Limp mode might be egr related
Actually picked up and EGR delete kit from Poland, not installed yet though
@@PovertyPointCustoms I bought the same, works pretty good. I also recommend an oil catch can for the ccv, that way won't be breathing into turbo
Straight pipe it
That would sound sweet or at least like a turbo powered lawn mower ;)
Rear.shock
Ok
Smart! Not a smart car...;-(
