That's so funny that the "cute" head pat seems cool to Japanese girls. Here in the US patting someone on the head is almost always seen as patronizing. It's kind of like telling someone that you think of them as being naïve or unserious, like a child.
Quite difficult to know if a Japanese is in a relationship or married because some of them may not say they have a gf or wife but they have. They’re too private so maybe when someone cheats the other person doesn’t know.😅
That's true , one thing we didn't get around to discussing is PRIVACY. It's such a huge thing here and I respect that too unless it's cheating lol 😅
I guess it just depends on the person if they have integrity and if they are honest. Loyal people do not cheat wether they are private people or not. 😊 They can always decline or reject someone if they think they are being hit on even if they say they have bf or gf or if they are married.

lets face, we always want that perfect person. but we got to look at ourselves, a below average guy like me only look for a below average woman.
Thanks for sharing some of what (some) women like and don't like. I think part of the equation is "know yourself" and be clear with it and express it in an honest way (it could be oblique or direct, depending on your cultural norms.) The other part is to allow the person you are with the time and space for them to formulate their responses. Now I am over to Asagi's Life to see her vid. Great collaboration!

If we go by numbers, the divorce rate in west is a lot higher than in Japan, one of the main reasons being cheating. That being said, I get the impression that cheating is more prevalent in Japan than in the west. One reason might be because of different expectations. Japanese see marriage as means to create a family and have kids, have a loyal companion, and for social status, In the west, we want all that AND romance, therefore cheating is not as easily accepted. However, sex life after marriage tends to go downhill quite fast even among westerners. But we are less likely to sacrifice our romantic aspirations for the sake of the family, so we just divorce.

I don't like Kabedon because taken the wrong way it can make you look overly persistent and aggressive which in turn might be a turn off. I know it is shown different in movies and such but I really don't think that will land well on a first date.
This video was short and sweet. Do not be afraid to post a longer video if the ball is rolling, I personally would have enjoyed this little conversation a bit more; I find your insides interesting and of course learning about Japanese culture as well. It is hard for me to get used to this indirect communication thing from men, it is so strange! :D

I think the head pat is also a generational thing. I'm in my 40s now, and one thing westerners were always advised against was touching the heads of people from any Asian culture without prior consent, as the head is considered sacred. I love your colabs!!! Very informational, and keeps me in the current times!

It's kind of an unrealistic expectation when talking about wanting a "serious" relationship, yet at the same time talking about all the guys (plural) you've dated. Both of you are talking like you've dated several men, instead of just focusing on one relationship. Most loyal guys don't want to hear about a history of men or to be compared to them.
I think it's best to learn about past tense before assuming if someone is presently dating or not. Or even better still why not directly ask if we are in a serious relationship or not if you are THAT interested in our personal lives. People date for different reasons and there is no correct way to do it. Personally as an ADULT I believe in this world people date to find whatever they want. This video is for people who are interested in dating experiences in Japan searching for information. Not for eligible partners 😂If you aren't interested in that then don't watch. Isn't youtube simple? 😆Grow up and get a clue.
