Sunday, April 7, 2024, little nostalgic when this music played, iba ang OPM, maski baduy at jologs, masarap pa ring pakinggan.
The music brings back bitter sweet memories during the prime of my life at late twenties and early thirties. Parang di mamamatay. At age 83 intimations of mortality become a reality. It is only at this late age that I realize what Madam Imelda had done, she was the patron not only of the arts but OPM as well. Let us forget her publicized notoriety but remember what she gave us, timeless OPM. I am now happily at peace with myself, all the demons laid to rest all because the Infinite Intelligence has deigned to give me the wisdom and patience to reach where I am now living a peaceful and ordered life sustained by the love of my wife who has always supported me throughout the years Listening to OPM really makes me thankful of how life turned out to be despite the tunultuous years of the 70s, the struggles, the sacrifices, despite difficulties. The tunes and words also are so meaningful that the young generation should take lessons. Mabuhay OPM and the artists that made them possible. Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam.
So brilliant and inspiring wisdom you shared to us here. Music is really life changing as we all grow and mature. The intimate connection is makes to our relationships and to people around us, familywise. God bless your life and your love ones, my friend. Cheers!🙏🤘
