honestly, If your going to walk into any experience with expectations your not going to glean anything positive that is not within your set of expectations. In a sense Matt Kahn is giving in to complete vulnerability by offering his perspective and life learned lessons to anyone who is interested. God bless him. if your not interested look elsewhere. In principal, It's quite cheap and irrelevant for anyone to criticize his ideas and perspectives as a third party.

I do find Matt has a sense of grandiosity or "specialness", however subtle, that's attached to his persona where he enjoys being the transmitter of knowledge, frequency holder, channeler etc,....where all come to him. He implies none of that exists for him but it just doesn't jive. That said, I find him an interesting guy with a unique perspective. Actually many unique perspectives which have helped me in my path. I consider him one of my many teachers. Also I dig his latest 1st wave prophecy thing where he gives a very specific date in 2015. It's ballsy,....also I have a feeling he's right.
What I believe you're noticing is something in yourself that compares what he's doing with what you believe an "ascended master" (or whatever) "should" be doing. For me, it's the vibrational quality of the words that matter, not the person there.

I get what you guys are offering. Matt is just a person being human in this world. Got that. What I'm focusing on is your response to that which you attribute to something in him. I agree, though, you take what you want from any of the many gurus out there and leave what doesn't resonate with you. Makes sense to me.
I first heard about Matt through this very video at BATGAP and has since followed him on his own channel and gone to one of his seminars, purchased his teleseminars. Most recently got his new book. But now it's time to step away. His UA-cam channel bans any critical comments (I questioned his bestseller status based on pre-orders and campaign for multiple purchases in the hundreds of copies) - I was banned and once you're banned, that's it, even positive posts get hidden. But I keep getting notices from You Tube of other commenters who whether they know it or not are also banned from public view so I know I'm not alone. That's why everything on his channel is so positive. I still like Matt but he has surrounded himself by a team of aggressive censors and marketers. So many of his 100% 5 star Amazon reviews are NOT from verified purchasers. It feels unreal and like he says a different timeline. I was introduced to Matt here so it seems appropriate to share what I feel after all the years following him.

It came to me when I was watching this interview that when Matt was talking about there is only just seeing it reminded me of something Bernadette Roberts said.
I get your meaning, but is he actually saying that he is special in some way, or is he just relating his own personal experience? Can it be true that neither you nor I are 'special'? While we are all one, so is the snow ..... and yet, every single flake that descends has its own particular pattern that has never existed before and will never exist again. That which is, is infinitely creative and new. The unkown is a mystery. He said as much.
So many comments about money? Why shouldn't teachers and healers get paid? Everyone else gets paid for their skills. There are people who volunteer and are still supported in some way financially. There are people who like to get paid. Doctors perform miracles and they get paid. Others kinds of teachers get paid. The use of money is a social habit that we're all participating with to some degree. Matt and others teachers who charge have many videos that we enjoy for free.

There is no need for belief where there is actual insight into what 'is' .... something Krishnamurti speaks about but also something we can all verify for ourselves through our own experience. Matt is being disingenuous when he talks about what he has put on his website about paying. No where in the payment for sessions section of his website does it mention a pay-what-you-can option. In another section, which I assume is what he is referring to, about offerings of donations, the site does not clearly mention that any amount of donation is acceptable depending on the financial circumstance of the individual. My impression is he is speaking out of both sides of his mouth. In this video, you would get the impression that he is open to helping homeless people who can only pay one dollar. When you go to his website, there is no sense of this at all! His website IS mercenary. So either he needs to change his website, or he needs to come out and say he is only doing it for the money! And now the sessions have been raised to 285$ per hour session. +TravisChantGuy where exactly does it say "We always honor sliding scale requests from those who are experiencing extreme financial hardship." I can't find this anywhere on the site.
Sorrow Heart Hey Sorrow. I discovered Matt about a week ago, and his videos are quickly becoming my favorites of all time. I decided I don't care about judging his choices. His videos are free on UA-cam, including retreat talks, so what am I complaining about? I don't care for a lot of his religious phrasing, but many of his practices are sheer brilliance, as are his insights into why many traditional recommendations don't work. As for "something not being right with him", I don't know that for sure, and it really doesn't matter. His stuff really works for me. I've hardly ever touched this gentle place of rest, or felt such non-judgement toward thoughts and emotions. Anyway, that's why I removed my previous comment. There is one unobtrusive, barely noticeable opportunity on his website to give a donation, which I was happy to take advantage of considering the quality of his videos, and the help has been to me (I gave $10). f you will point me to one UA-cam video you or anyone else has had to pay to watch, kindly correct me.
This man is either an avatar, a fraud or a scitzo. What i don't understand is that this teacher ask a lot of money. more money than someone does need for food or rent.maybe he sharing it wiht the angels. Sages like ramana maharshi,maharahji ect. did't ask anything and did't need anything. I try to be openminded and hope he is for real. It would be cool if avatars walk the earth
shit...what this asshole is talking about implies that we FINALLY have a way of measuring the effectiveness of spiritual teacher...just scan their disciples brains...then we know if they are enlightened...and how the enlightenment ratio is with every spiritual teaching...he can post it on his website...brain scans of his students...before and after shots =))..awesome =)

I like the dude. I've watched a few of his presentations and he resonates with me. Any faults we find in others are really our own short comings.
