This is fabulous! It was a beautiful shirt , and now it is a gorgeous apron. God bless, may you feel hugged by your mom every time you wear it! TFS. 🙏🥰
I love your channel Jeri. It's been so long since we've seen each other in person but this is a special little visit with you each week. I love what you are doing with your mother's clothes. It's such a way to honor her.
@@JeriBellini I am! Absolutely loving watching each of your videos. I love when you talk about your mom, your thoughts on life, and your incredible creativity. It inspires me so much as I struggle with the challenges of aging.
@@MaryMomGrams I guess you just never know who's watching! Thanks for coming out of the dark and letting me know you're out there. (I know my sister watches every week, she says the same thing about it being a visit but it's one sided, no fair!) Strap on your seat belt, I'm just getting started sharing. I love that I am touching the hearts of others. Getting old is not for sissy's! 💛
I love my tools!! And I've been enjoying sewing after leaving it for so many years. Back in the day I was a huge quilter/sewer. Made all the kids clothes when they were little. 💜
Hi Kathryn! I've been watching your videos too! I love the pocket that you made and also the cute small one for the book. I've been having the best time at the Tiny House! Thanks for watching! oxoxo
Fun idea Jeri. I saved some pants and button up work shirts from my husband’s brother to make pillows for each of his grandchildren. Hope there’s enough to make an apron or two for my husband and I. My mother-in-law had some pretty shirts, but she was tiny and I’m not, so I’ll just have to look at the thrift store for shirts that remind me of her…I need some more aprons!
Maybe you can piece a few shirts together to get the right size? And one commenter mentioned purchasing some from the thrift store that reminded them of their loved one. Thanks for watching! 💜
Super cute💞💞. Love the idea of repurposing the shirt into an apron👏👏. Especially having used one of your mother’s (or father). My mother passed away about 10 years ago and my dad about 20 so unfortunately I no longer have any of their shirts😞. But I can still make one with colors, design, etc. that reminds me of her (or him). Awesome idea! Thank you!
Yes, good idea! And sometimes i see just the thing that makes me think of my mom... could be a print or a color she loved. Perfect. Tag me if you make one, IG and FB. 💜
You're welcome Janet, I was thinking of you when I was making this. Do you have some of your husbands shirts you could try it with? It's like wearing a HUG. 💜
@@JeriBellini thank you - oh yes lol - i have a ton of his shirts - and this is such a wonderful idea - i will do this as well as some pillows for the kids - bless you and thank you for all of your wonderful inspiration xx
oh man UA-cam hasn't been telling me that you've been uploading. Just today I thought to myself, "huh, I haven't seen any videos from Jeri" so I looked and sue enough you have uploaded 4!! So 1 down and 3 to go. :)
Jeri, I just watched a video posted at Two Old Crows of a technique I think will be something that you will like if you haven't seen or done it before. It is only 24 minutes long. 🙏🥰
@@JeriBellini she took thin muslin, added layers of regular white tissue -about four layers. Painted tissue with her own designs, and then added that to the top. You could use some of your repurposed fabrics for the bottom layer and make so many different projects. I am thinking about a journal, little change purses, wallets for journals, basically if you can stitch it you can make it. The sky is the limit!!! Let me know what you think!
I love what you are making with your mother's t-shirts it's going to be very special ❤❤❤
Thank you, And I want to get back to working on it! So many ideas so little time! 💜💜💜

Great! And if it's a big enough shirt you can add ruffles or some other things. Have fun with it! 💜
