I remember well competing in the RTTC national hill climb champs in about 1962. On a hill near London. I was 37th and a member of Rossendale Rd club and Eric Wilson was our 4 or 5 times winner. Happy days
Must be tough to come in second place when you're just over 2 seconds behind. That is hardly anything on the road. A simple wheel spin or slipped gear change could make that difference. Clearly obvious how far above the rest Andrew and Tom were.

Happy days indeed. And 60 years later there is still the same event.
Great video! Very well edited: it gets the place, the weather, the noise, the excitement, and lots of competitors in view.
Pure delight. Excellent capturing the atmosphere. Almost like being there. Thanks.
Hey, thanks. Happy to hear you enjoyed it.
Top effort from all riders but my hat goes off to the gent in the Top Hat "Chapeaux sir"
Great footage of the day.....thank you.
Thanks !
That was a great video MB
Really good video massive time gaps considering the length of the route wish I’d done it now ( kind of 😅)
You'd be glad if you had done... maybe. Yes, quite a big spread of times. The course is much longer next year.
captures the atmosphere brilliantly. Andrew Feather almost too quick for you!
I needed two cameras to get him! He was seriously quick.
Great video. And great to see the high number of female competitors. Where I live, there is rarely more than a dozen women in races.
Rim brakes for the win!!😁
