Our Peking duck, Vicki, hatched out her first egg on 3/6/2019 at 11:30am

What an exciting day at the Cassell home today!! Our peking duck, Vicki, has been sitting on 2 eggs for the past 28 days and one hatched out today at 11:30am!! I let Vicki outside to stretch and get some nourishment earlier in the morning ... I checked her eggs while she was outside and saw a crack in one and heard some delightfully soft peeps coming from inside...it takes a couple hours for a peep to emerge...a couple hours later I came home and this video shows what happened next :) We haven't decided what to name him or her yet...any suggestions? This is our first experience of one of our ducks sitting on her eggs full term, so it was an incredible sight to see when she covered the baby with her wings for protection and warmth. It immediately reminded me of Ps. 91: 4 where it says "He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge." This creation/process never ceases to amaze me!!
