But now they support the violent minority in Georgia who lost even though they are doing the exact same thing. Why the double standard? DW needs to decide if it believes in dictatorship or democracy.
Usually bots don't write long comments so I assume that you're just an ill informed human... When you say phrases like "exact same" when you have less than 0% understanding of what's happening in Georgia, or really where Georgia is on the map, you should be careful, you're just rewarding yourself for being ignorant. But just to correct you on at least couple of things (even though your entire take is horsshit).
1) president has no constitutional power in Georgia, even if she stayed, Salome couldn't possibly declare herself anything, president of Georgia is less than symbolic. She's literally just a celebrity 2) What you call "violent minority" is literally 80% of the country. And at every single protest which has been going on for 15 days, there is always at least 100k people in the street (which is 3% of the country every day on the street) 3) Opposition didn't loose, the elections were stolen and there is more than enough proof which you would know if you actually gaveasht and did you research. 4) Even if you say that Georgian Dream party won, they campaigned solely on the basis of Eurointegration, which is part of Georgian constitution to work for it, and then a week after they outright stopped it, which is not only lying to their voters but LITERALLY unconstitutional, so the Georgian Dream voters are also protesting now. The world doesn't revolve around America, stop applying your American reality to the rest of the world, you're just showing everyone how dishonest you are talking about things you don't understand...
Because it seems that the majority of Georgians DO NOT want closer ties with Russia. You do know that Russia invaded Georgia in 2008 and still occupies some Georgian territory right?
@@brettervonkanada6102You are right, I am writing to you from Georgia. Your analysis is very accurate.

Trash talk. An election was conducted, and a winner was declared by the election umpire. If there is any disagreement over the process, go to court and present your evidence. That's how civilised people behave.
the west does not want to accept the choice of the georgians ... the opposition lost the elections

This is a western democracy... You lost, but don't want to step down...
Western democracy is weak and open to outside interference. This is just a fact. As a Pole, we know all too well that Russia will use legal means to subvert and dismantle democracy. Russia and other foreign powers used Poland’s own Liberum Veto in the past to cripple and paralyze the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth. The playbook remains more or less the same today.

The Europeans called Stalin a dictator right? Did they think he was Russian? Nope: born and raised in Georgia from Georgian parents. His real name: Ioseb Besarionis dze Jughashvili. Georgia’s history as much as that of Ukraine is entrenched with Russia. This for centuries. And now we have to listen to this BS? Seriously? I have lived in the EU my entire life, but really it’s not the best thing that could have happened… central decisions are being made in Brussels with EU representatives that decide unilaterally for all member states without any consent, since the introduction of the Euro, prices have increasingly gone up and the energy crisis will only worsen, because there is no cheap alternative after breaking directly with Russia and whatever is purchased is still Russian gas that is being sold by a third party this increasing the price. Even though they have said that diplomas are being recognised cross-border in reality that is not the case. But hey ignorance is bliss. But please stop acting so naive.
You just said a whole bunch of nothing. Like a high schooler thinking they understand physics.

Convenient that Russia is losing in Ukraine, just LOST in Syria, but yet he just happened to win in Georgia. Just happened to get lucky and elect a pro-Russian guy in a country strongly opposed to Russia. I swear people have no critical thinking skills at all.
Russia is NOT losing in Ukraine....JUST THE OPPOSITE ! 😂
Salome may also be a candidate for the presidency of France, she must do it, this will be the first time.
What does Georgia have anything to do with the EU 😂????
What's the bait used on them to get NATO closer to controlling that region?
When Georgia is welcome, why not Mongolia 😂

Why do we need to know if he is pro or anti Russia… ah so we know for who we need to cheer.
Kinda similar to the whole jan 6th thing 😌. I'll repeat the same words regarding the election, "show us the evidence".
the problem here is that Russia is not new to this kind of operations...
Also the evidence is in the countryside voting statistics.... it does not follow a the Bedford law curve as usual in elections, but it follows a pattern which is Called "Russian curve" typical when elections are not fair. (search it online)

Georgia should be part of Russia.
Protect democracy. Dont let Georgia fall to Putin hands!
So democracy means being a US puppet, right?
Yes.. Thats why the elected president must be protected.. 😂
wait a sec. So, in order to protect democracy, people in Georgia should refuse the result of a democratically elected leader? I'm missing something here.
The Georgia election was won by the dream party. So protecting democracy is to respect the voters will.😂

Dream party was supporting EU negotiations whole time. People gave them votes and then they showed their true colors. 🇷🇺🤮🤮🤮
They suspended the negotiations. It's very tricky. The EU has become so 'political' that they would want you to agree on terms detrimental to Georgia-Russia relations.
It is not about pro EU or pro Russia… as long as it proves the voice of people, president must step down and let see next election term competition.
What most important is how to make people voice is true.
There already was an election. "Next election"? Georgiana cam see how that works in Romania: leading candidate arrested for leading and not being a NATO stooge. And the new election postponed until next year with no clear idea of who will even be allowed to run.
