@@sonderistic7664 Yeah there is another mod called "Better VPE Skipdoor Pathing". It makes it so the pawns automatically use the gates to have a shorter route.

You need Progress Renderer to generate images of your base, then put those images into a video editing software. I use DaVincy Resolve, there are lots of tutorials out there for it.

Mats are from trading, metors, ressource drops etc. Later in the run I got them from deep drilling. The portals are Skipgates from Vanilla Psycasts Expanded
Started on 100% but went down a bit when the raids got too large. The xenotype I created for the run was very good at melee, and I had a core of really OP fighters that took care of everything. Vanilla Psycasts Expanded (Warlord Tree) + loads of implants
@@G-Fiti I feel like this is the inevitability of every rimworld run. Even if you have tons of AOE damage, at one point the AI will drop a full drop-pod raid right on top of your isolated colonists and kill them instantly. Hence lower difficulty is the only way to have fun and still build a cool, super long term base that doesn't use ugly killboxes.
I would love to introduce Rimworld to a politician and watch them have a brain meltdown witnessing _success_ and _efficiency_ without _the existence of a political system_ or _the obedience to economic precepts_ how the fuck do people keep voting politicians to take care of problems better handled by an engineer, is beyond me.
@@potatoes1640 Anything you can get your hands on really! You might want to avoid steel, if you can. At least until you can build a smelter and a power source to get more steel from slag. Anything is fair game though, you can build your walls out of silver or jade if you get a meteor.

Planning Extended helps alot, let's you draw circles etc, you could also use Designator Shapes

In the early days you pretty much have to wait for raids, resource drops and meteors. You could also raid nearby factions

What start did you use?
Naked brutality but with a custom xenotype that was immune to the cold and had gene inplanter (along with some other stuff, they were pretty powerful)
