I was devistated until it came to switch and I have 100 percented this game in both mario and luigi galaxy and still think its one of my favorite games of all time!
mario odyssey felt like it kept the spirit of the galaxy games, and I personally consider it the 3rd galaxy game. Although I would love to see a 3rd official Galaxy game

I remember first playing Galaxy when I was six years old, now I’m twenty and The Super Mario Bros Movie is out, and I couldn’t be even more happy. Mario has meant a lot to me, and this was the game that started my love for this series. The soundtrack alone brings back happy memories.

Nintendo will never make another game as unique and special as Galaxy 1 or 2. Man, I wish I could go back to when this had just came out, just so I relive the feeling of it being new.
This game opened my eyes as a kid, gave me a deep appreciation for music. Along with it being the first Mario game with a full orchestra, its the first Mario game I played and beat. Amazing game

This soundtrack is just... so nostalgic. I remember waking up to these songs during school days, my mom would put the official cd we got with our first Wii into the computer so we could blast it. I will always love every minute of this.

I feel like this soundtrack singlehandedly brings us all to a state where we are in our inner child, it helps us remember the days when life was simpler. That's why it makes us teary eyed, because it brings us to a place we constantly desire to live in.

Mahito Yokota and Koji Kondo are imo the best team when it comes to making Mario music. Hearing Good Egg Galaxy for hours is a sign that they are perfect for a wonderous soundtrack. Not to mention the Observatory music. I can say a lot more, but I'll just leave it at that!

I remember playing the super maro galaxy series with my younger brother back in 2012-2015. One of my old friends got me both games for my birthday, and I can't thank him enough for that. Even though my memory has been fading, I know that this game has a place in my heart and I'll miss the times where I could play this game without a care in the world.

@@skip2682 as a kid, I understood that the gateway was something more than just a starter planet. that's why it always make me very sad and is the most nostalgic and one of my favorite music pieces in the game. the saddest part about the storybook for me was how the lumas kept on coming and going. that was devastating for me to learn. they just transform. also they never found the original luma's mom.

This game was my childhood,I remember going with my dad for the weekend (my parents are split up so I would see my dad on weekends) and he got me super Mario galaxy for my birthday and I loved Mario but never even heard of this game. However once I started playing it there was no going back, everything from gameplay to visuals to music was just SO GOOD! Especially for its time in 2008! But this game changed my life in fact I think that’s why I might have joined band and although I don’t do it anymore since I’ve graduated I was in band from 5th grade all the way to senior year of high school. But this game just reminds me of the good times when life was easier and when I used to see my dad so much more than now. It’s not like we have a bad relationship, it’s just now that I’ve grown I have my own responsibilities to take care of and it’s hard to see him but I’ll never forget the first time I even looked at the game!

I remember playing this game on Wii as an elementary school kid back in 2009 after watching each gameplay on UA-cam. The galaxies, music, graphics, everything is just pure stunning! It was fun to explore whatever I like in this game. To this day, this Mario soundtrack is truly one of the greatest in gaming history.
My family got Mario Galaxy the day I was born, not for me but for my brother. Once I grew up a little bit and started playing it, I fell in love with the game. Those are the first 2 Mario games I ever played... besides Super Paper Mario, of course. All the games were great, but Galaxy was just the best.

nah the story book hit me pretty hard as a kid. i don't even remember what happened, i just remember being sad abt it.

@@skip2682 as a kid, I understood that the gateway was something more than just a starter planet. that's why it always make me very sad and is the most nostalgic and one of my favorite music pieces in the game.
the saddest part about the storybook for me was how the lumas kept on coming and going. that was devastating for me to learn. they just transform.
also they never found the original luma's mom.
Super mario galaxy and galaxy 2 are the best games musically and content wise

An orchestral Mario score with a science fiction sound! Definitely one of the best games and soundtracks in the series! Sounds a little bit like John Williams or Jerry Goldsmith in terms of the orchestral sound!

This game was my childhood,I remember going with my dad for the weekend (my parents are split up so I would see my dad on weekends) and he got me super Mario galaxy for my birthday and I loved Mario but never even heard of this game. However once I started playing it there was no going back, everything from gameplay to visuals to music was just SO GOOD! Especially for its time in 2008! But this game changed my life in fact I think that’s why I might have joined band and although I don’t do it anymore since I’ve graduated I was in band from 5th grade all the way to senior year of high school. But this game just reminds me of the good times when life was easier and when I used to see my dad so much more than now. It’s not like we have a bad relationship, it’s just now that I’ve grown I have my own responsibilities to take care of and it’s hard to see him but I’ll never forget the first time I even looked at the game!
Also btw good egg galaxy best track in game and you can’t change my mind 🤣

This soundtrack. Wow! It takes me back to my childhood memories every time I listened to it. Gosh! I can still remember every single track in this game in my head for years. I remember playing this game on Wii as an elementary school kid back in 2009 after watching each gameplay on UA-cam. The galaxies, music, graphics, everything is just pure stunning! It was fun to explore whatever I like in this game. To this day, this Mario soundtrack is truly one of the greatest in gaming history.
I played this game so much as a kid that I can close my eyes and see each and every level the each song corresponds with. What a masterpiece

My family got Mario Galaxy the day I was born, not for me but for my brother. Once I grew up a little bit and started playing it, I fell in love with the game. Now I'm 15 and my brother is 20, I felt nothing but joy when I listened to the soundtrack. I'll never stop loving the absolute masterpiece of a game that Mario Galaxy is, one of my favorite games ever and my favorite game soundtrack of all time. The nostalgia almost makes me cry not even gonna lie.
I've been listening to this as I complete an asynch math final exam, and it is uncanny how the songs line up to what I'm thinking as I progress. "Sad Girl" showed up just as I was reading over a question I knew I didn't know how to solve. How fitting 😔
