@@nphil93992 with the euro socket you can plug upside down and it will work the same. No need to flip the socket.
@@nphil93992 I think he meant some european style plugs that had ground on the side instead of a separate hole for it. So you can always flip the plug 180 degrees since it's AC and it doesn't matter which way you feed the live wire in.

Oh hey, that's my setup with the webcam set up for Magic at 6:15! Yeah, the stand is a bit short for webcam Magic - it lives behind the monitor when I'm not playing Magic - but it works in this case because there's black space in the middle of the Spelltable layout anyway.
As you figured out, it's essentially a Zoom call where me and three friends all have our webcams pointed at our tabletops and we're playing with our own setups in front of us. We all follow a Twitch streamer who does the same thing, and earlier this year - for obvious reasons - a while bunch of us got interested in making our own setups for playing Magic without leaving our house.
Props on playing Kamahl as your commander, he is an all time favorite of one of my local players.

I hope one day you'll be able to play card games with AR tech so that you can get little 3D models of the cards to pop up during play, and the attacks actually happening.

The type F is nice, but you have to remember that a lot of places in Europe use the E type socket that has the same issue.

Those two were actually the same monitor (AFAICT), just at slightly different heights. I do that too when I'm using multiple monitors with Windows, because it lowers the Fitts distance to the close button of a maximized window on the left screen and to the Start menu on the right screen, as long as you tell the OS that the right monitor is slightly lower than the left one.

That is a US wall outlet (110-120v 15A-20A) and would be a three pronged plug that only goes in one way. He would have to turn the outlet like jay said @ 16:20 and the outlet could be upside down, per local code anyway or maybe not

haha same, it took me a minute to realize why he made it seems like such a big thing to do, I was like, just take it out and flip it.
Your attention to detail and your insight to things that no one really pays attention to are perfect for this type of reviewer content. I love how you give constructive advice in hopes to actually help people not only maximize their actual builds, but maximize the potential of the surroundings as well. Keep it up. At 16:25 that's what's so great about our plugs here in Europe. We can have the cables running both up or down without flipping the wall plug itself

Its funny because the orientation that Jay describes is actually the normal way receptacles are supposed to be installed. This is because if a conductor of any sort falls and the plug is energized and not in the wall all the way, it will fall onto the ground terminal rather than hitting the hot side or shorting to the neutral.
2nd guy definitely lives in an apartment and is trying to insulate sound from going through at all. Rather than just make it sound better for his mic.

go to the back of the case, search where the metal "fingers" of the gpu i/o plate slot through the case, put something (small screw) in the slot above the gpu metal to push it down -> opposite side goes up, no more sag

I cut a small piece of wood of the perfect size and drilled it with a screw in my case, probably not the cleanest setup but it works and anyway i havent bothered to change my case in 12 years so i just care about functionality at this point

The laminate strip you're talking about is called edge banding. Its just PVC and you can buy it with a sticky peely back and trim it with a utility knife.
As a suggestion for a specific "genre" of build review, I'd love to see a function/utility over form theme.

Aside from Intel GPU development I was surprised that Intel dropped the ball so badly in the other area.. Just basic math and their reported earnings SHOULD have indicated that Intel's R&D would have had a much more proper and more than competing response to the AMD Ryzen CPUs. When you clear almost 10 times a quarter what you're competition clears in a single quarter a company like Intel should have the CPU market nailed, regardless of short term market loss to a shiny new competing product.
On the brighter side for Intel it's been widely accepted that AMD stock price is "Grotesquely Overvalued, due to cattle mentality and emotion over intellect"
@@usoppbarbosa981 More like Intel got complacent. AMD's 7nm advancement coincided with a decade of Intel's bad decisions catching up with them (every CPU bug ever, 10nm setbacks...). AMD had already found and fixed bugs similar to Meltdown on their side of the fence, and continued to work on new things while Intel got bogged down polishing old turds.
However, the Coronavirus has seriously disrupted tech in ways that will predictably hurt AMD's momentum. Whether it's the quarantine or some other setback, should we expect the tide to turn again? Will the rise of ARM-based devices (ex. Nvidia's) threaten x86 as we know it? We live in interesting times. *munches popcorn*

Blow out air ( not literally BLOW air , just blow air precisely through the lips )

Step 1: Kill power at the breaker box for that plug or room.
Step 2: Use a Flathead screwdriver to remove the cover screw.
Step 3: Use a Phillips to remove the top and bottom screws from the outlet box
Step 4: pull out the outlet and swap the wires on the left side with the wires on the right side. Be careful not to unscrew the ground wires and do not mix up white and black wires.
Step 5: Put it all back together in its new upside down position with the ground prongs facing up.
Last time I was this Early, the Luftwaffe had Aerial Superiority over Europe!

When he was talking about flipping the outlet where he could have that white cord flipped, technically that’s how they are supposed to be installed based on current electrical code, so best way to explain this, the two eyes need to be on the bottom with the mouth (which is the grounding) needs to be on top when installed, so it would be legal for him to flip it but he would need to flip the rest of them

@@betweenthe8 Exactly. You don't even have to cut power. Just don't touch the screws on the *sides* of the outlet and you'll be fine.
