It's nice to see green Goddess in service before it's crash - thankfully it's back in service now.

Thank you for the great video presentation psyclonesteve-your camera work is excellent. I love this railroad, and since watching your video, I've grown to love it even more! When the trains passed one another-going in opposite directions-it almost felt like travelling on standard gauge! The cadence of the wheels over the rail joints, gives one a sense of the speed being traveled! It seemed a lot faster than it actually was! Loved every minute of it. Thank you and my thanks to all the folks at the RH&DR, for the excellent upkeep of their rolling stock-especially the Motive Power! A truly great experience.

Well, How You doing?, the County Of Kent is 'The Garden of England', it is very flat, no problems for the trains, many Years ago I visited a 'Pick Your Own' for fruit, apples, pears etc, it even had a Steam Train to ride on it is, and I still hope the largest PYO in England, hope that helped.

Everything is scaled down to one third size, so it's all a lot lighter. The locomotives are proper steam engines - they aren't really models and are designed with power and speed in mind.

If the Dungeness station building ever goes up for sale, you can bet the estate agent will only show pictures from a certain angle.

I first travelled on this line as a kid in 1955 and last time in the 1980's. It's heartening to see that Dungeness hasn't changed the slightest bit (apart from the addition of a nuclear power station!) in all those years. Now I've retired to the south coast, I really must travel the 30 miles or so to Hythe and do it all again! Great video, brought back so many fond memories! Thanks, Steve.

Strangely the chap who started all this wasn`t keen on stations and hated cafes etc cos all he cared about was his trains. Good job someone else intervened. Nice video, love this place.

Now, now, America has railroads like this too, such as Poway Midland Railroad.

@@jackhromadka6842 I seriously doubt it, the RH&DR is a fully public railway running all year around, taking children to school amongst other duties. During WW2 it was used as a mobile gun platform.

I love large scale live steam! I am going to build the world's largest large scale live steam rr as soon as I become a billionaire!
these engineers and conductors have real life responsibilities, I have calculated that there are enough seats to haul up to 13 + tons. some RS I see has 16 seats, times that by 150 LBS per seat, times 12 RS, 13+ tons!!!

Brilliant vid man, if you had asked they would of let you into the engine shed i go in there all the tim. I was there not long before you or at least i think maybe it was after you, i was there when typhoon went out of service, we were on way to Dungeness just outside st Marys bay when the throttle jammed open, quite a frightening experience. Brill vid how to see you down there next year at the steam gala once all the locos have finished there overalls. They have 13 locos 1-14, and they get them all out for the galas.

yea man hopefully next year before i start at south eastern, maybe i could meet you down there and show you around I've been going since i was 3, and the throttle jamming... i never knew steam locos were so loud. And once again great vid keep it up.
