I think it may have to do with the Lava short that's in the episode, because Nick has long since lost the rights to them.

This is the KaBlam! episode Not Just For People Anymore from 1996. Wow! that was probably during 25 years of KaBlam! in the Nickelodeon 25 year anniversary Animation Celebration.
