Thanks for the great video! Do you know if it's possible to get off the bus somewhere during the tour (e.g. Gardens by the Bay) in order to spend more time there and later take a taxi back to the airport (i.e. no using the bus to return to the airport)?

There's a loophole to this, so even though you're supposed to complete the tour, meaning you go back to the Airport with the group, there's an answer in the FAQ that "In the unlikely event that participants are separated from the tour group, the particpant has to make his or her own way back to the airport at his or her own cost.", so you still can. They said that they are very strict with the time so if you didn't make it back to the bus after the 30 mins given then the bus will leave without you and you'll have to ride public transpo to get back to the airport.

@darnlarz18, no, I didn't pay for anything for this tour. you will need a Singapore visa in order for you to join the tour because you will be actually entering Singapore and exiting Changi airport.

For this tour, all the entrance fee are taken care and participants do not need to pay. However, at the Gardens by the Bay, there are sections which require separate fee, those are not included in this tour.
Just keep in mind that this tour is actually sponsored by Changi Airport, Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore Airlines if I am not mistaken.

Hello Zacc! My plane will land Singapore at 11 am. My next flight is at midnight. i am planing to join the evening City Tour which is btw, the only one feasible for my schedule. My question is, between 11 am and 17:30, I have a free time. Is it possible to catch the Guided City Tour Bus from the Jewel? Or I mean, to visit The Jewel first before joining the tour?
@marievictoriaschlosser9179, for transit passengers, it is only allowed to exit Changi Airport once in a day. If you go out earlier during 11am and 17:30, it will consider once exit already. This is my understanding.

Hi Zacc. We have a 24 hour lay over. We are even staying in a hotel in the airport. From my understanding, if you step out of the airport, that's when you have to go to immigration. How about if you just want to go to Jewel, do you still have to go to immigration? My other question, the complimentary ride to the city from the airport, do they offer complimentary ride from city back to the airport? We thought of going to the city at night, because we want to experience Singapore street food at night. Do they have specific time range for the complimentary shuttles to the city and back? We did this in Korea on one of lay overs there. Unfortunately, it was snowing. We couldn't enjoy walking around.
@cacayboydcb, yes, you are right. When you step out of the airport, one will need to get the immigration clearance (this include Jewel because it is outside of the Immigration).

Not joining the tour back to the airport will depend on the tour guide. Some maybe nice but some may follow the guideline to ask you to follow back to the airport. You may need a little luck.
Hello Zacc, I just book 5 of my friends for this tour already, but I still have 2 friends who does not book and slot. Is walk-in available? for my two friends when we will arrive at the airport on that time?
@Jasper Caalim, there is only 40 slots for this tour each day. Yes, you can still book on the day itself, but the chance of you getting a slot is slim. Hence, it is better to book online to confirm your friends have a slot if your friends do not want to get disappointed. When you book through online, it will also show how many slots remaining.
Hi Zacc, Can I enjoy this free city tour without any kind of Singapore visa?
Does the tour require you to check in immigration again when the tour ends? I have 16 hours of layover so I will still be having a lot of free time. Thinking of after the tour ends when they drop me at the airport I can go back to the city. But I’m not sure if they will force you do go through the immigration again due to the tour rules.
@brokenomad, yes, you need to show your passport and x-ray your hand luggage when entering Changi Airport transit area again, check out the video at 15:15 onwards. Usually a lot of participants will roam around Jewel or elsewhere in Singapore once they are back from the tour before entering Changi Airport. Just keep in mind that transit passengers can only exit Singapore Airport once a day.

How long of the tour in Garden by the bay ? Is it enough time to go around or just stay several minutes to take some pictures
@maihienma8381, when we reached there, the tour guide gives some explanation on several occasions about the place and participants are given time in between to take pictures. We only explored the areas which does not require a paid ticket. Yes, enough time to explore and it is a big area.
About the luggage?
I’m looking for a slot in December but only showed that not available, Do you know if they ran out of slots or did not open sign up for December yet?
@tranngocsang4714, I have checked too, I think it is likely the slots are not open yet. I do not see slots for November too. You may try again booking in Sept-Oct and see. Thanks for bringing this up.

You do not need to clear immigration after city sights tour if you want to go to Jewel,is that correct?
@Shen Maglaya, yes, you are right. You may inform the Tour Guide that you wish to go to Jewel, it can be arrange to drop you off there. For transit passengers, you are only allowed to clear immigration once a day (clear immigration out and in of Changi Airport). So it is better you visit Jewel too before you go back into Changi Airport.

Hi Zacc, while touring, can you take your carry on luggage with you in the bus? Or you need to store your carry-on luggage at the airport? Do i have to pay additional for that ?
@TawfiqHasan91, the tour guide may ask you to put your carry-on luggage to the Baggage Storage available in T2/T3. Yes, there is a small fee depending on the size for the baggage storage. Cause during the tour, the carry-on luggage are not allowed to keep in the bus, this means one got to carry it along the trip.

@Resayasa Yan Sambuaga, I am afraid not. If you have cabin sized, they will ask you to put in the paid storage counter located in T3 (next to Lululemon shop) when you register at the booth. During the tour, our bags are not allowed to keep in the bus.

@coyotelong4349, Jewel is actually outside of Changi Airport (next to it) and it is open to public. Locals can visit freely and tourist who is transiting in Changi (who have a visa) can also pay a visit.
Transit tourists can view jewel n rain vortex from transit Sky train.this month are Avengers theme n there is a giant Ironman at entrance. U can also visit Butterfly park at roof of Term3 near Sky train area. N there is a Singapore Food street down the corner plus transit lounge. @amitjadhav8875, the City Sight Tour will end around 2.30pm. But in order to register for this tour, your departing flight will need to be after 4.30pm. Hence, I am afraid your flight timing does not meet the requirement for this tour.

@Harshada Pujari, yes, certainly. After this tour, I have a better appreciation and understanding of Singapore landmarks. During the tour, the tour guide will still allow some short personal time to take pictures. Hence, the pace is just nice. @dasjay434, it will depends on whether there are any drop out on that day, which means those participants who cancel last minute. So it depends if you want to take your chances or choose another date with seats available.

Hi, is it possible to request to stay on last destination? we are planning to go to another free tour and to bugis for shopping before going back to airport?
@daisyree joan barilla, you may request to the Tour Guide from the beginning and see if he allows. During my trip, the Tour Guide said depends on the situation but likely ok. The tour guide has the duty to bring all the participants back to Changi or at least to know the whereabout cause he got to report back to the Immigration side. Btw, the tour does pass by Bugis.
Why not complete the tour first back to airport then take train down to bugis as for tour stop over is only on certain locations and from bus it will pass by bugis but it won't stop there

@user-ow6ys3ck3j, garden by the bay is a huge place. Under this tour, we visited the non-paid area. The tour guide will explain about the paid area if the participants decide to enter next time. Also, there is not enough time allocated to enter the paid area.

I am traveling round-trip to Bali from Chennai.
While going to bali i have 8hrs layover and while returning to Chennai i have 8:45hrs layover
So i booked two free Singapore tour through online one while going to Bali and another while returning to Chennai.
Do i need to apply Visa for this free Singapore tour. If yes what kind of visa i need to apply since im having two tours one is on arrival to bali and another one is returning from Bali to Chennai.
Note: I heard that once we book the tour itself changi airport will send one form we just need to fill that form and that will be considered as Visa.
