The reason for this was that the yolk had completely dried out as you could see how dry the eggshell was which didn't provide any power to the tiny chick and made it weak to open his shell by himself. Mostly in this situation, either the chick die or the momma hen helps to crush open the egg by squishing it gently under her belly and feathers. Becareful while peeling off the eggshell because the chick has It's blood vessels covered around the egg and popping one can lead to blood deficiency. (By a younger tween who has a dream to major in Zoology)

To ppl who doesn't know: baby bird sometimes have it hard to come out the egg and if they don't come out they starve to death cuz the protein that was inside is already gone cuz its time to get out. So by opening the egg like in the vid gently and not lots of force used the chick will get out safely and be happy with its mother ❤ Keep up the amazing work 💪❤

Almost this chick needed help bc it had pipped the egg but did not hatch causing the egg membrane to dry out and stick to the baby chick therefor making it unable to move at all lucky there was enough air getting for the little guy. If he would have not been helped he would have died of Dehydration/Starvation. It is bad to help them hatch bc it can cause them to become dependent on you and sometimes wont get along with the others and in worst cases the other chicks and chickens will kill the baby for being different. I am trying to explain good theres a lot of misinformation about this in the comments. If you go to the top i should be the 3rd comment i have alot of info in the first comment and in the replays if you want to know more. I am not trying to be the guy yk but i just love chicks, im studying in Ornithology.

The chick will die. Unfortunately, the newly hatched chicks have a connection with the egg. That connection must dry up and break on its own. The chick must hatch on its own after half of the egg is broken. I always take care of chicks and the first time I did this, my chicks died too ☹️ it was a sad experience

Just so people know, theres very few circumstances you can do this in, the yolk needs to be fully absorbed or the chick will die, and if you pull the membrane off too vigorously without proper hydration it can somtimes tear the chicks skin. Even if you do everything right a chick who hatches unnaturally is very likely to die, but if theres no other choice it can end in success somtimes

Цыпленок будет жить, если ему создать определенные условия для того чтобы желток внутри его живота рассосался полностью. Для этого нужно содержать цыпленка 2-3 дня голодным и в тепле . Всё будет хорошо!!!
This is so sad, but much like fish, reptiles, and other birds, some baby chicks will die in the egg simply because they are just not strong enough to push their way out. Personally, I think we owe a lot to Herbert Spencer for inventing the saying, “Survival of the fittest”. Day after day, that saying is incredibly relevant.

IMPORTANT!!!! I have raised chicks before!! NEVER help them out of their shells! If you do, they are more at risk of death because they must be strong enough to break out of their shells!!!!!

Idk but it seems the chick did break the entire shell but left the membrane intact at some places which might have made it difficult for it to pop out, not necessarily that it wasn't strong enough to can survive. Statistically sh*t happens, including a strong membrane, or surviving hatching with a human assistance

Yes guys they do get themselves out off there eggs but there are certain conditions that results in the chicken needing helping. Do some research about it and you might find it very interesting. "If the humidity is allowed to decrease after the chick pips the shell, the membranes within the shell can dry-out and stick to the chick. This prevents the chick from turning inside the shell and stops the hatching process." And that's mostly likely what happened here! Hopefully the little guy is doing well and its healthy and strong. 😊
Research told you that 😂when birds, delivering themselves. They have a mother that eat the shell off also to help. Hey, baby's get out. for many years before humans.😂😂

Ah yes. It’s like saying somebody is stuck to something and they’re literally about to die but you know just do a gently. If the chick was about to die, can’t just do it gently it’s gonna die. And before you say well, just do it fast and gently that’s not how it works you can’t do something gently while being really fast.

I see the problem,as someone who watches alot of snake hatching videos. Reptiles and birds have watch is called an "eggtooth" which is how they break the shell of their eggs before crawling out. Sometimes they don't develop one during their development, causing them to get stuck. You saved this baby, though i would not have pulled it out i would have let it move out once ready,but its out and hopefully it lives!

Very interesting to see how the chick was folded up in the egg! Makes me wonder how in the world they can move enough to peck at the shell to get out. Maybe this little guy was bigger than the average baby? I’d be curious to see if this chick survived because I’ve always heard that they can’t survive without the struggle of getting themselves out of the egg.
the chick is usually rotates to peck the egg shells, I've observe this process already. For this case the chick is already dried up and impossible to rotate inside which is required assisting just to hatch because its already weak
such a stark contrast to the factories where female chicks are sold off for egg laying and the males get sent to an industrial meat grinder, life is beautiful but some humans are evil.
The chick died a couple of days later. If a chick doesn't have enough power to break through the egg it won't have any strength to be alive. Me and my mom tried to rescue this way many chicks but only like quarter of them survived and even then they were to weak to do most things and died younger than usual

I’m an atheist, I find it impossible for god to exist and humans have egos because of how we evolved to speak- allowing us to communicate with other humans unlike any animal. Along with having hands allowing us to evolve and advance technologically we built societies where humans have lived along side other humans that we don’t know. Humans egos come from the fact that the more impressive something that we can do the more praise we get from other humans and in our world where we live alongside other people we want people to like us in our society’s. Tbh I have done no research and I’ve never thought of this question before but I think that’s a good explanation
As a classroom teacher, I incubated chicken and duck eggs every year with my students. I took an adult ed class beforehand to instruct me about what to do and not to do. I was told to never help a chick or duck hatch as the process normally takes more than an hour with lots of rest time. If the chick cannot extricate itself from the shell, it’s because it’s not a healthy chick to begin with and it will likely die anyway. With one exception, I found this to be true.

I used to hatch turkeys and chickens. What was in the incubator started hatching all at the same time. When we got down to the last egg the little guy was still trying to get out. I just started breaking the shell off of it. I finally got him out. in just a little bit he got up and started wobbling around. I named him Weeble. He followed me around everywhere. He lived 5 or 6 years. When he heard me in the yard, he would be walking behind me wobbling. When he died I missed him all the time.
You will NOT want to intervene in the hatching process so i hope it doesn't have a birth defect or two. it takes a total of 24 hours for the chick to come out of the egg once it breaks the shell. the chick was probably just fine, and if you hear an egg chirping do not interfere with its hatching process unless your most certain it was in danger So just saying this to warn people because the guy in this video most likely had probable cause to help the chick
What happened was the yolk dried out. So because of this, the chick wouldve been unable to break through both that and the shell. He saved this chick from certain death

На 21 день иногда спасаю цыплят, которые не вылупились. Освобождаю только клюв, чтобы не задохнулись, затем скорлупа подсыхает и цыплята сами высвобождаются из скорлупы. Все остаются живые и вырастают здоровыми курочками.
Я тоже так делала, даже проделывал маленькие дырочки в скорлупе,где цыпленок бился и пищал,но проклева не происходило ,было жалко что может задохнуться так и не появившись на свет! И такие птенцы вылуплялись и вырастали прекрасными птицами!

Не всегда следует открывать полностью ,так как бывает , что птенец пробил скорлупу , пупок не затянулся и вот по этой причине
Причине не стоит быстро убирать скорлупу , а то точно погибнет

I lost a chick because I listened to every idiot online that said let them hatch on their own or else you’ll kill them. Sometimes they need help

I've had to do it a few times. They get a bit to dried out sometimes and need help.

Idk but it seems the chick did break the entire shell but left the membrane intact at some places which might have made it difficult for it to pop out, not necessarily that it wasn't strong enough to can survive. Statistically sh*t happens, including a strong membrane, or surviving hatching with a human assistance

Yes guys they do get themselves out off there eggs but there are certain conditions that results in the chicken needing helping. Do some research about it and you might find it very interesting. "If the humidity is allowed to decrease after the chick pips the shell, the membranes within the shell can dry-out and stick to the chick. This prevents the chick from turning inside the shell and stops the hatching process." And that's mostly likely what happened here! Hopefully the little guy is doing well and its healthy and strong. 😊

I see the problem,as someone who watches alot of snake hatching videos. Reptiles and birds have watch is called an "eggtooth" which is how they break the shell of their eggs before crawling out. Sometimes they don't develop one during their development, causing them to get stuck.
You saved this baby, though i would not have pulled it out i would have let it move out once ready,but its out and hopefully it lives!

Very interesting to see how the chick was folded up in the egg! Makes me wonder how in the world they can move enough to peck at the shell to get out. Maybe this little guy was bigger than the average baby? I’d be curious to see if this chick survived because I’ve always heard that they can’t survive without the struggle of getting themselves out of the egg.
the chick is usually rotates to peck the egg shells, I've observe this process already. For this case the chick is already dried up and impossible to rotate inside which is required assisting just to hatch because its already weak

The chick died a couple of days later. If a chick doesn't have enough power to break through the egg it won't have any strength to be alive. Me and my mom tried to rescue this way many chicks but only like quarter of them survived and even then they were to weak to do most things and died younger than usual

I’m an atheist, I find it impossible for god to exist and humans have egos because of how we evolved to speak- allowing us to communicate with other humans unlike any animal. Along with having hands allowing us to evolve and advance technologically we built societies where humans have lived along side other humans that we don’t know. As a classroom teacher, I incubated chicken and duck eggs every year with my students. I took an adult ed class beforehand to instruct me about what to do and not to do. I was told to never help a chick or duck hatch as the process normally takes more than an hour with lots of rest time. If the chick cannot extricate itself from the shell, it’s because it’s not a healthy chick to begin with and it will likely die anyway. With one exception, I found this to be true.

I used to hatch turkeys and chickens. What was in the incubator started hatching all at the same time. When we got down to the last egg the little guy was still trying to get out. I just started breaking the shell off of it. I finally got him out. in just a little bit he got up and started wobbling around. I named him Weeble. He followed me around everywhere. He lived 5 or 6 years. When he heard me in the yard, he would be walking behind me wobbling. When he died I missed him all the time.

You will NOT want to intervene in the hatching process so i hope it doesn't have a birth defect or two. it takes a total of 24 hours for the chick to come out of the egg once it breaks the shell. the chick was probably just fine, and if you hear an egg chirping do not interfere with its hatching process unless your most certain it was in danger
