I read the comments and realized that most have no idea about the war! Ukraine is smaller, has a smaller population, now has less ammunition, no aviation, Ukraine is at war with one of the most powerful army in the world! And in recent months they have captured only Avdeivka, a very small settlement. How so, ask yourself? Ukraine is the first in the world in military innovation, neither America, nor Taiwan, nor Europe, in military technology they can’t keep up with Ukraine and Russia. So, I’ll say this: if Ukraine wins, those allies who tested their new technologies with it for the next century can rest easy!
Russia lost the war two years ago when they failed to take Kyiv. Since then Russia’s campaign has been a slow moving train wreck. The war is not a dead lock. The CIA are wrong. Russia is losing overall, but, Ukraine desperately needs US and EU support to put a quick end to this war
Thanks this great podcast which i listen to every day. Great reporting! One little thing though : please stop spreading the wrong story about Elon Musk / SpaceX turning off Starlink to hinder a Ukrainian operation. What really happened was that Ukraine requested Starlink to be turned on in Crimea to support a mission. This was initially denied by SpaceX because it would be a breach of US sanctions against Russia. This was sorted out later together with the US government and service is now available. But it is completely wrong that SpaceX turned an already running service off to hinder a Ukrainian operation.
If they knocked out the only distillation unit in a refinery, it’s not a 50% reduction of refining capacity, it’s 100%. This is because all the other units are downstream of this unit.
No one at all calls out the manufacturers of weapons that make them rich. Permanent war is their ideal situation. Countries that defy the proper use of sanctions, should simply face the same sanctions. The US clear minefields in other battles, why not Ukeaine?
I love Guy Verhofstadt’s comments. He should also be pointing out how Belgium has basically given Ukraine zero military aid during this war. The EU, generally, needs to stop pretending it needs to maintain large amounts of arms for anything other than Russia…whom Ukraine is currently fighting and rapidly weakening.
The Roman Catholicism church and the Orthodox church split in 1054; the Russian Orthodox church, as an autocephalous church did not exist until the late seventeenth century.

The use of surface " torpedos" is not new, only the use of radio control is. 'Holger Dansk' used DIY small electric powered awash surface vessels to attack German ships in WW2.
Dominic, just a thought, perhaps Germany doesn't want to be seen to be responsible for directly starting World War 3 because of their association with WW1 & WW2? So, if indirectly Germany can supply Ukraine with what is needed via this indirect route and it works then let's get it done.
Another episode failing to mention the possibility of peace negotiations. I doubt that the Telegraph team searched very hard for Ukrainians favouring negotiations with Russia when they were in Kiev, but don't they deserve to have their voice heard as well ?
They do, but the murderer Putin will never negotiate away Crimea (sp?) or other regions Russia currently occupies. So it's basically a waste of time and effort more than likely.
Well, apart from propaganda channels such as this one everybody knows that a winning team ie Russia is no longer interested in peace negotiations like the ones that were done in Istanbul but which the US stopped. The west is in total panic and is now dropping lines to Putin. He is not interested in a sease fire situation. He wants a proper solution for the whole area.

I'm Russian. Ukraine has never been needed by anyone. More precisely, Russia did not need it until the United States tried to deploy its naval base in Crimea and its nuclear-tipped cruise missiles in the eastern part of Ukraine. Russia had to.
Russians don’t want to hold Ukraine ……. They want to disarm it and force it to become neutral (ie. Not house nato nukes and military bases)……. instead the west insisted that it should be able to expand nato and thus military structures on Ukrainian soil so that they could be within minutes to striking Moscow…… anyways it’s a great deal for the west: speculate on being able to use Ukraine and if it doesn’t work out then at least they’ve damaged Russia and haven’t needed to put a risk a single western soldier
Around a half or more have close relatives in Ukraine (and everyone - distant ones), so yeah, pretty interested.
