The worst thing about being a handsome is that you're intimidating to other men and you're always at risk of being betrayed and getting into fist fight even if you don't even like it or worse, you didn't do anything to trigger them, it's just because you're handsome.

I hate as a guy, when other guys Hate on you just for taking better care of yourself than they do. I think the reason dudes stare at you in the gym is simply because of inspiration and admiration. Sometimes guys will stare at other dudes because they aspire to look like you and it makes them want to go even harder because you give them hope in a sense that one day they can look like that, or it may just be admiration because they can tell from looking at you how far you have come and how hard you worked to obtain the physique you have now.

@@moenerutanga3648 honestly bro i’m still figuring it out . i’m young so im still changing constantly , but i did come to the realization my good looks was simply a wall keeping me from actually finding my true purpose/identity . a couple years ago God revealed His existence to me after being an atheist for some time . i gave my life to Christ and the revelation that i as well as everyone else was made in the image of God . i believe that’s our true identity . i believed being the pretty boy with all the girls and talents was dope . until God showed me being made in HIS image holds even more than that . and that the identity i adopted from the world was false 😂 . in terms of purpose i believe it’s sharing the truth of Jesus with everyone . but i’m still trying to figure out how to intergrate that into my career . shoot i still needa find a career to integrate that into . and understanding all of why God made me the way He did . the looks aren’t my whole identity , but i don’t believe it was given to me for no reason . could be wrong though idk yet

This randomly pops up in my feed & I truly appreciate it, as I can relate to everything you said & the inability to acknowledge these cons for further false perception of being self absorbed. Most distrubing is particularly @ a new job - mainly other guys, deliberately avoid me or feel they have to come at me strong, until they realize "you're cool as hell". The gym is the worst, where simply interaction is a huge challenge, as ALL efforts rest on me to constantly be the 1st to say "hi", as they pretend not to see me, looking over my head, go the other direction, pretend to be on their phones etc., or maybe a motion of the hand, looking away & as soon as I say "hi", they would generally smile & become super accommodating, stemming from saying that I'm "intimidating" or the notion of "why would I be friendly or even want a convo with me"! i came to the conclusion i need to stop being humble and more on the neutral side. i've been humble but would always be perceived as competition unknowingly with past friends no matter how uplifting and genuine i try to be. now i got the mind set as to where if you want to be in my circle you got to have something going for yourself and not have a toxic mind set to where you feel the need to take me down a level or two by throwing verbal jabs disguised as jokes or being unhappy about the encounters i had with females. competition is only healthy when it inspires both parties to do better for themselves with out it getting to a place of resentment

As someone who grew up ugly and glowed up after 21, people really do treat you differently when you're handsome and it's not a good thing. Some "friends" expose themselves and become haters that try to tear down your self-esteem for no reason. Some "homeboys" tell you "bro wants attention" when you dress nice to go out. Some people call you "self-absorbed" or an "attention seeker" yet i'm still the same person on the inside as i was before, which is an introverted homebody minimalist that prefers playing video games over partying. And it's also tough because you know what it's like to feel invisible, and now women look at you like a piece of steak. I want to be special & chosen for who i am, not what i look like. At least if you're not handsome you know you're being chosen for who you are, which is what truly matters most.

This is exactly how I felt during high school, when I got into a new class I decided to change as much as possible about my looks, clothing and character. literally the first week I got surrounded by 4 girls asking silly meaningless questions to "get to know me". And back then I used to be super insecure and oblivious, so nothing happened, but a nice confidence boost ngl. It's funny when you aren't actually interested in someone, you don't even have to remotely do anything to get them chasing you. Someone else in my class tried everything to be able to get with this one girl but couldn't... he got jealous and angry at me lol.

I agree with alot of other comments. I think we all realize 2 things pretty early on. It's alot better to be in the top 10%, than the bottom 10%. While we may struggle to get meaningful relationships, and mostly just hookups. The bottom 10% gets none of the above. The second drawback is the never ending rumors about you, that are generally not true. Especially at work. People assume your banging customers and employees, just because your talking to them and they seem to be hovering around you more than everyone else.
