Ok you made this look too easy .. when in reality perm rods are difficult! I cant even get them close to my scalp 🙄
You can do it! Practice makes perfect!
When you roll it, twist the cap to make it stay against the scalp.

I don't apply additional product in between wash day unless I am brushing my curls up into a ponytail and need to lay my edges. I pull my hair up into a loose ponytail at night and tie a scarf around it for all my styles. I have a few posts on this on my instagram @jascoloredcurls if you want to check it out. Im so glad that I found your channel I love your tuts and we have the same hair texture and density!!! Quick question, do you think the blowout twistout is damaging? I recently cut my hair and trying to get as much length as I can so I usually blow out then twist.
It depends on how often you are blowing out and your method of blowing out. I don't blow out directly on my hair. And it's something that I do very rarely. Less is more.

This was actually a result of growing my old blonde out for two years so that I could start over. So the remaining color on the tips is what was left from when I was a full blonde. Wanted to start my color again on a clean slate.

What is the secret to get the perm rod to stay in place?? Mine just slips out
Applying more product to the ends and smoothing it around the perm rod helps m keep them in place. thanks for watching!
