Got the album, dang Kyle...dang...I'm loving it! It's been a long time since I've heard music I understood and I love the stories you're singing. LOVE IT!!!
Man I love Petoskey stones they are so pretty when polished up , and Rob's shop is so amazing ... one day I will have tools like that ..one day. And I know exactly what I will be listening too when I do have all those fun tools " The Great American Highway "
Enjoyed this video, was so much fun watching since I can’t get to MI anytime soon. But as soon as I do go I’ll be on the beaches rock hunting again!! Thank you.
Kyle, the little brachiopods would make great "worry stones", also known as palm stones. People love those. Also, the really small ones I drill a hole in and make pendants after a bit of polish. Guys like them when strung on 5-mil pieces of leather and a few ceramic beads. You can't always find just the right size to polish for a pendant though. I once spent an entire day one summer on a Mich. beach and only found 6 that were the perfect size, lol. Good thing I enjoyed the great sunny warm summer weather that day so it wasn't a total waste. I tried grinding away 1-2-mil of the white lines on one once so the spots looked 3-D, and it came out very cool looking. But it took so long to do, and I went thru too many bits, to ever be profitable to do. So instead, I made a cool1 necklace for my 23-year-old nephew who wears it all of the time. That was worth the time as a gift. Another cool video!
I would LOVE to pay you to send me a small petosky stone if you’re willing? One similar to the one shown at 17:19 in your video if possible 🙂 We live in Mississippi so as you know we don’t have those here 😏… on a different note, I Can’t wait to go buy your new album!
I so want to visit Rob's shop! I'm amazed how you two can bring out the beauty in the rocks you two find! So much fun! Thank you Kyle and Rob for another Michigan adventure, it's so beautiful there!
It is amazing the amount of rock and fossil knowledge you have. I enjoy watching you and learning things. Near where I live in Colorado, Littleton, we have what is called the Hog Back. It is called this because when this ridge was pushed up, it came up almost vertically. From the air it looks like the ridge on a hogs back. Where it was cut through for Interstate 70, you can see the many different layers. Along part of the ridge a bit away from this, dinosaur footprints have been found. It is called Dinosaur Ridge. (You probably know about this.) I know you can't take anything away from here, but I have seen people taking rocks from the cut for I70. I don't know if there are fossils there or not. When you showed the hole in the clouds as you were eating your sandwich and said the sun was coming out, it reminded me of when I was in the Air Force. I was in Air Weather Service working as a forecaster and we called those "Sucker Holes" because they made you think the sun was coming out. Most of the time it didn't, thus the name. Just a useless bit of information. Lol
Wow! They are all over the place there! So many petoskeys! And both of you collected so many cool ones! I love it when you and Rob collab! And the ones you polished were amazing! So cool! Thanks Kyle!
I think the Petoskey stones you're finding by the water that are smooth, seemingly polished, have been altered by indigenous ppl rather than just tumbled by the water. The longer skinny one looks like the shape of a blade. I'd have to take a truck w me to get my finds home, gorgeous rocks!
Wow those petosky stones are stunning, the firstbone you polished is definitely the best, really enjoyed the video, must find time to catch up with Robs..
They are all beautiful! I would also like a CD or LP of this album. Looking forward to the release. Still praying for your mama, wishing God's blessings of health and recovery.
Dude nice stuff! I love the rocks and the fossils. My favorite is the geodized fossils right now, I just cut a few really nice geode corals open with amazing water clear crystals inside! I wouldn’t mind getting up there for some petosky too.
First... Great hunt fabulous petosky stones.... NOW.... I've just finished listening to the album and it's spectacular. So much variety and depth, and the lyrics man, they're incredible. The very last track is stunning and my favourite... The cello, the lyrics..... The ugly face sobbing from me 😂 You're a very special guy Kyle... Keep on Shining 💜
I think I know why you were letting Rob walk first through the woods there at the beginning....so he can knock down all of the spiderwebs. LOL @7:57 That's an Oreo Cookie rock.
wow, I'm just a little sad that I didn't know you before. I have to watch all your videos now.....I go rockhounding in Germany and also make videos, but it's much more difficult to find great stones here. you make great videos.😊😊😊❤❤
We were just there last week. My step son lives there and gifted me a nice sized one he hand polished and I found a few in Little Bay along with an assortment of agates and multicolored stones for my tumbler. Wish I could attach a picture.
@@judithmoore6564 , my wife I I were up in Petoskey, Michigan. I collected stones on a bay shore right in downtown Petoskey. Found a few Petoskey/Charlevoix Stones. Others that are layered. I have a rock tumbler in storage ever since we moved from FL. to N.C.
So funny. The very first rock has spent 30 million years or so on this planet and has had so many adventures only to be picked up by wildkyle and hear "Here's a terrible example" LOL That'll be my bones in a million years. Never touched until one day some alien adventurer runs across my fossilized bones "here's a terrible example of human bones"
Bad angle rock guy. really bad angle. Interesting to spiral out of control but it's the internet trust me I've owned three businesses. You're losing foresight😅. And I'm from Miami Florida trust me you're losing it. go back to rocks n videos Capitalist

Nice rocks and polishing. I really enjoy coming along with you.

WOW that is THE spot for petoskey stones! Excellent fossil spot. I'm gonna go fossil hunting tomorrow! You've definitely inspired me!
I always really enjoy your adventures and rock hunting episodes with Rob! Thanks for taking us along! Joy S from Northern Indiana

Nope. They’re soft, easily water worn, and utterly worthless as a blade.
Wow those petosky stones are stunning, the firstbone you polished is definitely the best, really enjoyed the video, must find time to catch up with Robs..
Congratulations on your album! Love the videos with you and Rob! You two make a great rock/fossils hounding team! 😊

Selfishly I’ve got my fingers crossed that some of these petoskys might show up on your next live sale! You found some absolute beauty’s.
Wish your album success Kyle.
A new album and a killer Petoskey stone. Congratulations!
The polished stones are gorgeous!!! I can’t wait to listen to your whole album because what you’ve teased us with has been incredible!

You need a machete to get thru the trees. It’s so beautiful there. Just like beautiful Kyle.
Love the Petoskey stones, Kyle, the polished ones are gorgeous. Congrats on your album, I've been waiting for it!❤

You silly boys! No denying it's fossilized DNA. 😂😂😂

Are ATVs allowed on most beaches?
5:02 looks like dall head . Scary looking ,lol😂

wow, how long does it take to polish a stone that size? Beautiful finds!
Which lake? I have found Petoskey rocks and in lots of places in Michigan in our great lakes
