Definitely makes it tougher. I enjoy a crowd because I like the laughter, but they tend to make it too obvious by staring and having their phones obviously recording the scene. It tips people off that something is going on and puts people on alert, or they won’t walk through the scene at all. If people could gather and act natural and leave their phones/cameras alone, it would be much better!

Kids should always be recognized and treated kindly - and especially when they're the one who initiate contact or the interaction - which was exactly what you did. The kid loved the moment - and I loved the moment.
That"s not right nor wouldn't make any sense to send someone to prison or doesn't make any sense for it to be a criminal affense just because he didn't say hello to a kid etc and second its not evil for someone not to say hello to a kid which there is nothing wrong with that but its up him or a person to say hello to a kid.
