What makes White Abbario a great contender is his versatility. He’s got the speed to get a good position. Only thing I don’t like is his race at Churchill Downs…he got shut off and couldn’t make
Up any ground on the winner. That can’t happen in a 20-horse field or he’s done. Also, to get good position out of the gate a jockey runs the risk of using up their horse early but without good position they have to get lucky somewhere in the race. It could happen. I just hope they all finish safely and make it back to the barn.
@@penelopelopez8296 no problemo with this colt- hes started from various positions- a wet muddy Churchill Downs always concerns all of us, in 20:field race.
First time I really watched anything on this colt. He's definitely put together good. Hope he is a contender in the Derby.
He did start running better late in the race at a Churchchill Downs, he will properly appreciate the Derby distance,if he gets good post position, good luck with your picks, I usually wait over the past few years not to pick until the draw post positions my pick hasn't always won,but have been in top 4 more then not in the past like 5 years, I usually only pick 3 horses,I'm a 2 dollar better, I don't over analyze the race,just keep it as simple as possible.

Definitely a contender...tough horse,tough jockey (Gaffalione)...outstanding workout...keep an eye on this one .

Determine, Decidedly, Dancers Image (who never should have been disqualified after what Baffert got away with last year), Spectacular Bid, Gato Del Sol and Winning Colors are the only greys or roans that I can recall winning the Kentucky Derby. They don’t have a good record in this race but doesn’t love a gorgeous grey or roan?
Oh, I forgot the great Monarchos…who was a grey and ran the second fastest Kentucky Derby ever in 2001. Unfortunately, he was not a very sound horse and his career ended after a third place in the Preakness but he would have been a great one if he’d been sound. What a horse he was.

Good luck ,play win place show just incase he doesn't win,you probably bet that way anyhow if you don't, I know people don't always do that they are seeking a big win & some waste alot of money,my brother & his wife wouldn't pay bills they owed first they would go for a big win & loose & then not have any money for bills,to those none professionals who don't do the this for a living, hey aleast you can win something possibly that way more then not,trying to to discouraged any one spend a little to win alot,good luck to all.

White Abarrio gonna win because he is the smartest horse. He can take the lead or be in mid pack. He is ratable. He doesnt fight the jock and gives and rates when he is asked. He is bold and will go through openings or run in a pack. I would love to ride this horse!

So glad White Abbario was re sold! This horse likes to run, it pissess me off to see jockeys cropping the crap out of them when the horse is well out front- OK Idk this horse - yet clearly early training was rough w/prior owner(s). If we’re going to have a chance of
Cleaning up the Thoroughbred Racing sport where the benefot of the horse is somewhat a priority and not overly drugged, theres no indication that returning to over use of the crop is the amswer either. The right jockey, right trainer, of course diet suppliments and stable care/turn out/work out balance all must be finely tuned for the animal. White Abbario has promise, but for this year - we hope they dont overplay the colt.

Gorgeous son of the famous Tapit.
He's a grandson of Tapit, not a son. Sons of Tapit don't sell for only $7,500 as yearlings considering his stud fee was as high as $300,000 at one time. White Abarrio is from the 3rd crop of Tapit's son, Race Day, who entered stud in 2016 for a stud fee of $7,000. When this colt was still a yearling, Race Day had already been sold to stand in South Korea. If White Abarrio wins the Derby, someone will be buying Race Day to bring him back to Kentucky.

It’s hard not to cheer for this horse. Saffie’s dream would be to win this race, the horse Is beautiful to look at, and it looks like he has a lot of pump.
I find myself trying to question his limitations, perhaps ability to get the distance but I can’t come up with very many reasons as to why he won’t be a major player in the race.
Perhaps his loss in the Kentucky Jockey Club over a surface other than Gulfstream Park but other than that this horse is a live horse. Raced wider than Charge it did as well on both turns and showed a quick turn of foot without too much delay in kicking on when it mattered.
My money is on him
If the jock can keep Charge It out of trouble and give him a clean ride …..he’s going to be tough in the derby. I like White Abbario….he’s got speed and he can lay off the pace, but Charge It ran up his butt, switched leads and lost his momentum. These jockeys today are not as good as they used to be 30 years ago or more. I’ll take flack for that I’m sure but jockeys used to be better than what I just saw. Charge It needs Eddie Delahousey or a Pat Day on his back.
He will win Preakness and Belmont if he races those races

Drums, overraced with 5 races? A lot, of them has raced 5 or more times.
Come On, think of horses in the 1980s or before then….they raced, at least, a half dozen times or more as a 2 year old, then had 4 or 5 preps before the derby. Nobody really knows who the best horse is here because most of them haven’t run enough times to get a real gauge on their potential. Four or five lifetime starts at this point is ridiculous. They’re all evenly matched because they haven’t raced enough to determine anything. Go with a long shot for $20….you never know.
White Abario looks like esential quality. He is a strong contender to get kentaky derby but I donot think he can get kentaky derby. Taiba, messir, epicenter are impressive than white Abario.He consumes before derby and he Does extra effort.
He hasn’t done anything wrong! Just worries me that he may not like Churchill
His only race at Churchill he got stuck behind horses, had to go around and made a good run but gained nothing on the winner. He can’t have that happen on Saturday. He’ll have to be in perfect position coming off the far turn into the stretch. It’s a 20-horse field I believe…it won’t be easy.
I think the Presque isle south horses weren't very good this year...
