The only time I see them in use is for the ceremonies &/or cocktail hour. The overwhelming majority is just a simple 4/4 beat made by a machine, rap is a someone just talking to a beat, and most people have nothing new to say, just "n-word, ho, playa" that's about the extent of most rap artist's vocabulary. Dre is good, but the genre has been so bastardized that's it's entirely worthless as an art medium, and is just cookie cutter music like Katy Perry.
