Dre is good, but the genre has been so bastardized that's it's entirely worthless as an art medium, and is just cookie cutter music like Katy Perry.
What i love the most of these kind of videos is contrast between performer, suspended in different timeline while sharing same space with crowd rushing wherever they rush to.

To be fair, Mel Man probably did the drums, in fact he did most of the beats on Chronic 2001, he has songwriter / producer credits on most of the songs.

The only time I see them in use is for the ceremonies &/or cocktail hour. I'm usually the last one to leave & in charge of locking up so perhaps ill try to teach myself a little of the song each night until I can rock it out.
