Thanks for a very informative video. You mentioned regrinding and incorporating the spent blocks into your next batch of Shiitakes. In the previous batch if much of the nutrients have been consumed and the mycelium and spores are killed in the stereilization process how exactly then does this help enrich the substrate for the next batch? Thanks.
The fruiting bag is made of sawdust? Aside from sawdust what are the other materials you put or mix and what is the temp require for the onoculation period?
thanks for this video....id be interested to know your story as in how your interested started in mushrooms through to your current day setup. Im based in europe and dream of one day having a farm similar to yours...very inspiring thanks!
I have heard over and over again that shiitake need to be "shocked" to begin fruiting.. Slapping them, or giving them a bath, or chilling/freezing them. Do you guys do that, or is the mere act of transferring them from the warm incubation room to a cool fruiting room enough to do that? Have you experimented with water baths/"slapping" them?
Can you take mycelium from one of those blocks and transplant it to another, fresh block and use that to inoculate, or do you have to start with fresh spawn every time?
..I'd rather use Distilled water, but in my country its not easy. I can easily boil water but then have no clean container to put it in. "Soda water" which is H2O + CO2. Can I use "Soda Water" for misting and mixing BRF etc?

It looks like any other kind of farm where animals are held in unnatural conditions. The meat that comes from these pig-camps is terrible. The animals are unhappy, they have no real life. They live and die in fear. Every time somebody enters the room, the pigs can sense how they are taxed if they are ready or not for slaughtering. Mushrooms are of the same or even higher ability of perception. I wonder what that will cause. Sorry if you don't like my observation. Kind regards, M.

That's cool they regrind the spent blocks and use them for substrate again
Can you make video of whole process. From 0 to fruiting.
How many cycles do you grow the shiitake in each of the block?
Great video thanks. There's a lot of money in those rooms!
