- What do The Twin Cities do better than ANY OTHER city in the country?
Hey friends!
Minneapolis and St. Paul have a long standing reputation for their bikeability and prominent cycling infrastructure throughout the Twin Cities metro! I truly believe that Minnesota does it like no one else and I'm excited to show you around, highlighting some of the best amenities we have to offer for cyclists.

This is a HUGE, underrated asset. I follow channels from urban planners like Not Just Bikes and City Nerd and they have overall positive assessments of the Twin Cities as well.
While I'm not a huge fan of those channels and the doomerist energy they give, I totally agree that Minneapolis is excellent for that considering it's snowy/icy most of the year!
@@aloe704 haha I've never heard that before! But now that you mention it, CityNerd is a Democrat and a pretty cynical one. Very doomer, actually, I get it!
There are others that are really just focused on solving problems and thinking creatively about solutions. My favorites are Edenicity and Strong Towns. Check them out! Urbanism without the doomerism 🤣
Can’t tell you enough how other cities are SO lacking in infrastructure like lakeside trails and ped/bike exclusive bridges, forest trails like Theo Wirth and Lebanon Trails and more. Being from MN is a blessing, but also a curse bc everywhere else seems so dead and boring, lacking the everyday-outdoorsy approach we have.
