I'm really enjoying your videos though they can be a be a bit discouraging. I'm a Southern California native of 30 yrs, moved to Wyoming for 28 and counting, looking to relocate in the Pan handle area . You forgot Clearwater, so many people are moving there, they will open new trails very shortly from my door step to the beaches, will be able to take my electric bike and I will take my kayak along I have the best medical center near by and all major stores, 20 mn from Tampa and few mn from St Pete airport
I’m most interested in Sarasota/ Sarasota county, because it seems like the perfect location for my beach loving, nature loving, art loving, and fun loving young family. We’re hoping to visit and explore potential relocation options by the end of the winter or early spring 😎
It's very very very hot most of the year...most people move out after a few years because it just gets too crowded...and boring..lol...and the beach is great to see maybe once or twice...soon you will miss mountains and cool crisp air...Sarasota is great for wealthy retired people who spend winters here...weather is great for 5 months...it's January and still turn the A/C on....
Yeah unfortunately it's way overpriced here and I have no clue why. I'm in Fort Myers it's a garbage overpriced s-hole now. With very low paying jobs so I have no clue what's going on. Crash coming soon is my bet.
About the only affordable housing for seniors is a cheap trailer and big HOA fees. We will be getting a snowbird place and the cheapest areas are away from the big cities. Places like Winter Haven and that area are inexpensive. We have also been watching the market up near Lake City where homes are reasonable. We aren’t going to spend summers there so the interior heat won’t bother us.
Biggest complaint people have about Sarasota is that it's hard to meet people...very few people were born here...like living in an Airport....or a huge nursing home...very transient...people move in then move out...fake...people are bored...too hot and crowded...no middle class..too expensive...once you see all the sights like bars, Restaurants, the beach, their really isn't anything else to do...too hot...so they get bored...Tiki Bars and the beach...that's pretty much it...that goes with the whole State of Florida...
I am moving to sarasota in about a week and im very excited! However, my second option was going to be pensacola. I noticed that wasn't on this list? Bad place to live? The housing there is very affordable and the beaches near there are amazing like siesta key type.
I would have liked to get info regarding hurricanes, flooding and evacuations. I am considering the Mount Dora area. I have no interest in the coasts. Does Mount Dora frequently need to evacuate?
You have a beautiful accent. Great video. Tampa Bay is definitely the best place to live in Florida. Orlando is also great. Jacksonville is meh. South Florida is amazing if you can afford it. I agree with this list entirely.
Tampa St Petersburg Sarasota Naples Orlando Jacksonville St Augustine Daytona Beach Ft Lauderdale Miami I’m going to Ft Lauderdale next week- I love high energy, beautiful beaches & warm weather- I’m praying on the right move…🙏
For the last 2-3 years home prices in Florida are over the moon, especially in Tampa! Sellers don't want to be realistic, they still think they can get $100, 000 PLUS over the asking price. Many of the homes sellers are trying to sell have seen an update/renovation in many years. When the final comes - sellers are going to cry useless tears and buyers are going to laugh all the way to the bank!!! LOL
As a multiple property investor in Florida, maybe the presenter should mention the cost of property insurance. The deep hidden fact is insurance companies have left the state in droves after losing money from storm damage. Ask an agent there about rates that have tripled in one year. Hurricanes have caused claims to bankrupt some carriers. How much? Many homeowners are paying more in insurance than taxes. $12,000 a year.
Sarasota is beautiful .. I went to beach that the sand was white and night was nice there was a guy playing some instrument and it was nice . Lehigh acres is nice area. Also I will like to know where a nice area for family and kids like nice towns to live.
Ok I have watched the complete video, but I want a more curated suggestions. Anyone? What would be a good place for a 36 yr old looking for job?. Also low crime, family oriented, not too much expensive living. Near beach, but not necesarily just 1 mile near the beach. I actually prefer lakes or lagoons. And At least and average of 20°C the whole year? I have 2 in mind, Tampa or Orlando? Which one is closer to my needs? But if you have better options please tell me.
What about Port Saint Lucie? Research/data indicate cooler Summer temps from the Atlantic Ocean, plenty of job opportunities, inexpensive realistaste, significantly improved/updated infrastructure, parks, ocean access, newly built homes to withstand hurricanes and significantly lower crime than most other Florida cities. How did you miss this?

Thank you for leaving Ft. Myers out of the top 10, although considering Sanibel, Captiva, Ft. Myers Beach are adjacent, I'm not sure how you managed to do so.
Davis Island is WAY TOO LOW above sea level. You will need to budget a huge amount of money for flood and home owners' insurance. I live in this area since 1959. If we ever have a major hurricane hit here, my guess is that at least a third of the housing will be immediately destroyed, as far too much of this area is built on ground that is entirely too low above sea level. Also, the traffic here has become ridiculously congested. That said, Pinellas County is an extremely well run county, with little to no corruption that I am aware of.
The highest elevation of Florida is only 360 feet above sea level and that's the peak...it's about 30 to 100 feet in most of the State making it steamy hot...

Home prices will continue to fall well beyond a decade. Too many people locked in record low rates, for RECORD HIGH COSTS. Prices only need to decline about -10% for catastrophic results. Start with a general location (central florida, SW coast, east coast etc), see if it fits with your budget, then visit 3 or 4 different cities within the location to determine what fits your lifestyle best.

I loved Texas and almost settled down there - if me and Fl fall out again 🤔
@@nichelebrown1163 that’s my hope. I’m self employed and I purposely scheduled work in TX all summer in the hopes I can move . I want to buy some rural land and build something off grid, debt free. Texas is a massive state, so I refuse to let Dallas sway my decision.
@@CRASS2047 I feel you- Corpus Christy was gorgeous; I heard nice things about Austin and San Antonio- best regards

I'm really enjoying your videos though they can be a be a bit discouraging. I'm a Southern California native of 30 yrs, moved to Wyoming for 28 and counting, looking to relocate in the Pan handle area . We have family there, and they're chomping at the bit for us to move down. The high taxes for insurance and property are discouraging, but I'm glad you are revealing the truths about Florida living.
I still believe FL is a great place to live. Just account for all the costs. :)
Listen to commenters not a realtor!😅
You forgot Clearwater, so many people are moving there, they will open new trails very shortly from my door step to the beaches, will be able to take my electric bike and I will take my kayak along
I have the best medical center near by and all major stores, 20 mn from Tampa and few mn from St Pete airport
Thanks for your input!
I’m most interested in Sarasota/ Sarasota county, because it seems like the perfect location for my beach loving, nature loving, art loving, and fun loving young family. We’re hoping to visit and explore potential relocation options by the end of the winter or early spring 😎
You will likely love it...reach out if you have questions
It's very very very hot most of the year...most people move out after a few years because it just gets too crowded...and boring..lol...and the beach is great to see maybe once or twice...soon you will miss mountains and cool crisp air...Sarasota is great for wealthy retired people who spend winters here...weather is great for 5 months...it's January and still turn the A/C on....
@@stevewalther2293 couldn't agree more, plus now congestion, expensive and boring.
SARASOTA IS A RETIREMNT HAVEN, FULL OF OLD PEOPLE AND IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE
@flfreefun1246 that's why everyone is moving to Sarasota...because it must be just so bad.
I prefer Hallandale Beach Florida beautiful city good beaches and restaurants and growing businesses and communities and a good nightlife.

Thank you for the video!!! Great information.

I mived to Florida from California and it was my best decision !!!
Hi there, where in CA did you live?
The Florida Panhandle is absolutely the best!
🙌
Gotta be rich or have really good money just to afford a decent place to live here in Florida.
Getting unaffordable for many
@@katrinstake
Back in the 90s it would been afford, now these days not like that anymore.
@@ashleyspitzer6672 I can understand that
Yeah unfortunately it's way overpriced here and I have no clue why.
Concise and informative. Nice work.
thank you :)
Thank you for this helpful video. And thanks to the Comments for the helpful information. Love the comments .

Thank you for the video. Is Daytona beach a crowded place with traffic or more chill?
Some areas will be crowded, some not so much...
She definitely needs to mention the cons of living in Florida, such as crime rate most of the cities, she mentioned have a high crime rate
There are SO many amazing places in FL.
I would have liked to get info regarding hurricanes, flooding and evacuations. I am considering the Mount Dora area. I have no interest in the coasts. Does Mount Dora frequently need to evacuate?
Hi it is best you reach out to an agent in the Mount Dora area.

You have a beautiful accent. Great video. Tampa Bay is definitely the best place to live in Florida. Orlando is also great. Jacksonville is meh. South Florida is amazing if you can afford it. I agree with this list entirely.

Good list. I dig Tampa Bay! Native boy.
How is it going in Ft Lauderdale so far?
For the last 2-3 years home prices in Florida are over the moon, especially in Tampa! Sellers don't want to be realistic, they still think they can get $100, 000 PLUS over the asking price. Many of the homes sellers are trying to sell have seen an update/renovation in many years.
When the final comes - sellers are going to cry useless tears and buyers are going to laugh all the way to the bank!!! LOL
Reality will check back sooner than you expect. Patience is the key.
I have to say, I love all your videos you explain everything so clearly and professionally you are so wonderful thank you very much
Thank you for the nice words!
I have a few video on this channel dedicated to only this subject.
Actually the insurance companies were driven out by fraudulent lawsuits. Storm claims play little part in the current crisis
Excellent content - and delivery👍🏾
Thank you so much!!

Daytona Beach

Davis Island is WAY TOO LOW above sea level. You will need to budget a huge amount of money for flood and home owners' insurance. I live in this area since 1959. If we ever have a major hurricane hit here, my guess is that at least a third of the housing will be immediately destroyed, as far too much of this area is built on ground that is entirely too low above sea level. Also, the traffic here has become ridiculously congested. That said, Pinellas County is an extremely well run county, with little to no corruption that I am aware of.
Thank you for your input, Steve. I can imagine that insurance is expensive on Davis Island just like it is on Siesta Key.
The highest elevation of Florida is only 360 feet above sea level and that's the peak...it's about 30 to 100 feet in most of the State making it steamy hot...
Florida is for retired married couples who love to stay inside with the A/C running.

North Port is also gaining huge population growth as well.
Lots of development happening all around there !

Home prices will continue to fall well beyond a decade. Too many people locked in record low rates, for RECORD HIGH COSTS. Prices only need to decline about -10% for catastrophic results. Risky HELOCS, Airbnb busts, and decade long value declines, combined with commercial real estate in the red, across the board. Foreclosures are only now starting to uptick. Supply is increasing, NATIONALLY. This bottom won't show until the mid 2030's at the earliest. -40% when the dust settles. God bless, America.
Tampabay is becomming California. Never seen homeless like this before and the county commissioners are proposing three sites for homeless. Lived here all my life and looking to move to another state. Good Luck.
That's not unique to Tampa Bay, or Florida in general. People are getting poorer and cost of living is getting higher EVERYWHERE.

Hi, Tampa is a great city...it will depend on your budget and what your preferences are in terms of surroundings. There are many great places to live in FL. I would take a process of elimination approach. Start with a general location (central florida, SW coast, east coast etc), see if it fits with your budget, then visit 3 or 4 different cities within the location to determine what fits your lifestyle best.
Tampa Bay area good for every thing.
