Radar DOES NOT use "sound waves," as this episode states roughly 6 minutes and 40 seconds into this video. Instead, Radar uses RADIO WAVES!!! 😂
Hey according to Freddie Mercury radio is GAGA and makes noises. And that's sound! So stop being a hater 😂
RADAR is literally an acronym for Radio Detection And Ranging😂
Still far from the biggest inaccuracy in this video. Hell it's not even the only weird reference to sound, a few seconds earlier it mentioned overcoming SONAR. The density of errors in the video is rather astonishing, it actually might so bad that ChatGPT would have done better.
True
Videos on this channel often have bad inaccuracies. They don't seem to care much.
Stating the F22 lost dog fights to the F15 glosses over a lot of constraints the F22 pilot had to follow to due to training requirements and preserving RAM.
Facts. The F-22s and F-35s are almost always stacked with lunberg reflectors and the external fuel tanks to make them much easier to see and harder to maneuver. They’re usually tied down with VERY limited intercept constraints and I’ve read that there have been exercises where the 4th Gen fighters are intercepting 10-20:1 with AWACS and other support and the F-22 and F-35s are purposely seriously hamstrung.
I don’t know why people think these F22 and F35 are at full capability when doing these little DF shows and training
@@FloridaManMatty The F-35 is experiencing the same doctrinal issues that were realized with the F-4 Phantom in Vietnam: Jack of all, Master of None.
There IS a reason why the USAF has desperately tried to hide the after-action report of the Red Flag Exercise where a Gripen defeated the F-35.
You learn more from a loss than a win.
That's the point exactly. They handicap the F22 till it's competitive with the older plane, then see what happens.
"F22 does not have any serious victories in air to air combat"....... That baloon was pretty jacked though.
Russia is not scaring anyone. That new F15 EX is something they should worry about.
I think it's hilarious (also, awesome) that we can revisit an older design like the F-15 and just modernize a few parts of it, and it's at least as effective as a brand-new design. Goes to show you how well designed the F-15 was/is.
I don't think Russia is thinking twice about a plane which primary role will be domestic defence. The F-22 and F-35 is what they fear.
@@janhansen3753actually….the F15 especially the EX would serve as second hand damage after the stealth jets came in and destroyed land to air threats that could lock them up
@@janhansen3753 The F-35 is suffering from the same problem that the F-4 Phantom experienced in Vietnam. Jack of all Trades, Master of None. @@John-hu9qgthat ain’t true. 1 f15 shot down 2 mig29s and Iraq definitely wasn’t a third world military. It’s was 4th largest military on earth. The f15 has shit down multiple mig 29s. I’d put my money on the f15ex against the su35 as it’s performed pretty bad in Ukraine. Not to mention the huge difference in pilots and training. They didn't even possess a single round of ammunition designed to engage western armour!🤣. The Ukrainian airforce was largely combat ineffective in as little as 10 days, and you will see exactly how long the F-16 will last also. In regards to Ukrainian shoot down claims? They were laughable at best, they couldn't provide any evidence whatsoever in relation to the majority of SU-34 claims, yes they downed one or two by quietly bringing a pair of patriot launchers and a NASAM unit forward, but then lost all three SAM units in a series of spectacular strikes by the Russians who also moved a relatively unknown weapon into position, a Tornado 200km range precision strike MLRS. Its also rumoured that some of these destroyed battery's were covertly manned by American and other NATO personnel killed in the strikes.

You really need to get a script editor in with a decent grasp of science, particularly physics. Your description of radar is... not how radar works at all. Radar is an electromagnetic wave, not a sound wave. This hugely holes the credibility of what is already a very ropey script. As a channel with over 3/4 of a million subscribers I would expect you can afford a decent script writer or editor. Aside from bombing a few safe targets in Syria, all we really know about the SU-57 is what Russian sources brag about. A lot of creditability there. Whereas the capability of the F-15 is documented by 40 years of combat action by the USAF and several allied countries.
The fact a upgrade fighter from the 70's can even compete with a 2020 fighter from Russia is laughable and a testament to USA air power.
It’s not the plane it’s the pilot....
We have much better pilots too so...
I mean if one of the pilots is in an American plane and one is in a shitty Russian one it really is more about the plane
Not necessarily the F-16, even the upgraded F-4 phantom can still destroy the Su57 easily. su57 is just like su27 but different design
It seems like you're reading the factory sales literature for the SU-57 and actually believe it. Here's a hint: No outside source has vetted the claims or capabilities. In contrast, the 20 year old F-22 has participated in scores of mock dogfights against top of the line fighters from NATO countries and other allies in week long training exercises. To put it very mildly, Russia is known for exaggerating the capabilities of its weapons and vehicles. The SU-57, T-14 and BMPT "Terminator" are made for parades and shopping mall openings as each of their miniscule production numbers indicate.

The value of a weapon system is NEVER best determined by 1 on 1 scenarios. No one, not even Russia, sends up aircraft for one-on-one duels unsupported.
There is a lot of other factors involved. Aerial refueling to enhance combat endurance, airborne and ground based radar support, SAM support, EW support, pilot training, and even quality of basic maintenance matter.
In this case, the Su-57s go up looking for F-15s who may be easily detected at range.... and as they maneuver around to get the F-15s they get bushwacked by the F-22s or F-35s they never saw. Then the F-15s volley off their long-range missile load to mop up any survivors. Or the F-22s and F-35s can remain covert and provide targeting data for the F-15EX's massive missile load, then come in and sweep up anything left.

Just a hypothetical question - in each sense. In reality the scrap jet Su-57 not even exists. 14 years after the first flight, just a handful of Su-57 jets have been produced which are all different. The jet is a joke.
When the narrator said that radar is a sound wave, I knew this would be somewhat false information. F-15 would win assuming it can see the SU-57.

@DarthAwar what the hell are you even talking about? The F-35 is more stealthy than the f-22. The F-22 was our third attempt at stealth.
Actually our first attempt at a stealth aircraft was the Have-Blue test bed which is 100 * stealthier than the su-57. Our first production stealth aircraft was the F-117 Nighthawk.
Not sure where you're coming up with the F-115😂😂😂
And the second production aircraft with stealth was the F-22 which is several Generations beyond the f-117. And the current F-35 along with the B21 Raider are even further stealthier than the F-22 or any previous aircraft.
And for the su-57 to be Russia's first attempt at stealth is actually quite embarrassing. Because it's not even a stealth aircraft it's barely low observability. In fact it may not even be low observable, some estimates are that it has the radar cross section of a slick f-18.😂
And as far as the video goes, the su-57 if they ever are able to produce a combat version of it that's really ready, wouldn't stand a chance.

As with the Radar comment confusing sound with radio wave. This video describes Infra-Red as a radio. Talking about IR emitters that bounce IR off other plains? IR is detected passively as an emission from another object. It is not bounced off the object like RADAR or SONAR.
The SU57 will be as competent as every other bit of military kit that has been designed and built in Russia. 😂
Sonar? That’s worse than accidentally saying radar uses sound.
The SU57 is only stealthy nose on. If there is an AWACS in the area the SU57 doesn't have a chance because the AWACS can relay positional information to any allied aircraft. This will give the F35 the ability to engage the SU57 from another zip code.
The SU-57 is not very stealthy. Both the F-35 and the F-22 can detect the SU-57 long before it can detect them.
Most people misunderstand Stealth to begin with. It has less to do with being "invisible" and more to do with being able to acquire a targeting lock. The non-stealthy aircraft can still see the stealth but has to get much closer before his weapons can effectively hit their target.
😮 no you're actually incorrect. Stealth has to do with being unseen to the other aircraft radars.
You can't see it without getting a radar lock on it basically.
Now there are some ground-based x-band Radars that can detect that a stealth aircraft is in the area but it cannot pinpoint it with any degree of accuracy, not even really accurate enough to Vector another aircraft to that area
@@davidford3115yeah you are completely misunderstanding stealth technology yourself

The SU-57 isn't stealth. It has a radar cross section of a SQUARE METER, about the same as an F-18A. That's not stealth. The F-35 has a cross section of .005 square meters. THAT'S stealth.

F-15 ex has top speed not in dog fight of Mach 2.5 but in dog fight emergencies of mach 2.8 and carries more rockets and missiles and longer range.
hell yeh f-15 still king of the sky.
nice video, but:
- RADAR does not run on sound waves, but rather radio waves (in the cm and mm range).
The ECHOLOT works with sound waves, which was first used by the British in WW2 against German submarines.
- There are 2 infrared/thermal imaging systems. Active and passive. In one case, the battlefield is illuminated and the reflection is registered by a sensor. This was first used by the Germans in WW2.
The next generation does not need any illumination, but rather registers the (long-wave) infrared signature that the object emits.
This is probably also what is meant here, in order to register the signature of the engine, even if the aircraft is not detected by the radar.
In principle, stealth aircraft are not entirely invisible. In Yugoslavia and also in Iraq, F117s were found and combated by long-wave radar devices (cm range) (older system from the USSR).
The German company Hensold is building a similar radar that can find stealth aircraft sooner.
